Visa Category And Documents Required

Featured Replies

I am Indian girl.My would be(also Indian) is working at Thailand on work permit.

we are shortly going to be married at India.

What is the category and documents required to apply for visa to go to Thailand and live along with him after our marriage?

I presume it will be non-imm (0) and marriage certificate is suffecient to get visa to Thailand and need to apply from India after our marriage.

I also presume I can stay along with my husband as long as he continue at Thailand with support of his W.P

please clarify the position and advise correctly.

I suggest you call a Thai consulate in your country to ask what documents they need for a non-O visa. They may want to see more than the marriage certificate.

If you cannot get a non-O visa, get a tourist visa, then in Thailand apply at any immigration office for a change of visa status to non-O, then apply for an annual extension as a dependent of your husband.

please confirm whether 7.19,chapter 2 in the order of Royal Thai Police:606/2549 on rules and conditions in consideration of Allien applications for Temporary stay in the kingdom of Thailand,is applicable in my case?

If so why should I apply Tourist Visa and later convert it into non-imm(O) in Thailand.?

Will not be any problem for such conversion, since it appears the Tourist Visas are now restricted and regulated with (some 90 out of 180)limitation of days etc?

please advise clearely.

Being Indian, your tourist visa will be only valid for 30 days.If your husband has a work permit and extension of stay based on business, you can change the tourist visa over to a extension of stay permit in Thailand as a dependent.
