5 month stay

Featured Replies

OK, so in a senior moment (or perhaps a "should've gone to specsavers" moment) I've ended up with a ticket returning in 5 months instead of 3. Couldn't really care less about that, I'm happy to stay an extra couple of months.

So, after I extend this setv once and my 90 days is up I guess I'll do a border run for a 30 day exemption, which takes me up to 120 days. So far so good.

My question is will I need to do a 2nd border run, or can I extend that exemption by another 30 days?

tl;dr: Long story short - can I extend a 30 day exemption by 30 days, or is the 30 day extension only available for visas?

Yes you can extend your 30 day visa exempt entry.

I suspect the man with the answers to  almost  all visa questions,     Mr. Udonjoe will be along shortly to help you out.

I'll  just comment about  your flight arrangement boner.     It would be a total disaster if you and I ever collaborated on making trip arrangements.     I'm fully capable of doing the same as you did.

While I don't remember  which airline it was, I once made and paid for reservations to take a flight from San Francisco  to BKK that was going to take 48 hours what with all the lay overs.      Well that wasn't going to happen and when I tried to cancel a lady told me I'd have to pay  100 USD for the cancellation.      I agreed to that as I wasn't going to have a two day journey.

Then low and behold, I was refunded all my payment.

Both tourist visa entries and visa exempt entries can be extended, once per entry, by 30 days.

You can extend 30 days no matter if it's a tourist visa or visa exempt by land or air. That's what I did currently.

You are allowed two border crossings per year but don't go to the Aranyapet one.
