December 30, 200619 yr After using the free version of limewire without a problem for a few months I now can't get it to connect. The page comes up but it doesn't download.Should I uninstall and install again? No, but tell us your ISP and what firewall and/or router you are running and have you updated anything lately?
December 30, 200619 yr Use Frostwire instead, it's created by the Limewire team but it is completely free.
December 31, 200619 yr Use Frostwire instead, it's created by the Limewire team but it is completely free. So is limewire. And it's probably not Limewire that's the problem anyways.
December 31, 200619 yr I can't get Emule or Bittorrent to work since the problem in Taiwan, I suspect our OP is in a similar situation Give it a couple of weeks, got a nice email from KSC (our ISP), says sorry for the inconvenience but little else. "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
December 31, 200619 yr Until the internet connections are a little more restored believe you will have such problems. I was able to download update from Taiwan to a voice program today after not being able to do so since the quake. So things are getting better each day.
February 23, 200719 yr Use Frostwire instead, it's created by the Limewire team but it is completely free. I second that. Limewire on Mac OSX hasn't worked for quite sometime. Just downloaded Frostwire and it works great. Finally some fresh blood for my Ipod library. Thanks TTT Maxnet 512K Chiang Mai, OSX 10.4.8
February 23, 200719 yr Since the internet cables were fixed Limewire is now blazing fast. On a 1Mb connection l'm often downloading at 110-120KB/s, faster than ever.
