Does anyone know if you can buy these switches at say a place like Global House or local hardware shops?

I'll be switching on and off swimming pool lights from a + and - 12 V supply.

I've never bought these type of light switches before and not sure if they are readily available.

Thought I'd ask here before I make the 200 km trip to pick some up.

Don't know about Global House as there's none anywhere near me and the local electric shop would be a "hit and miss"  (the owner surprises me sometimes as she digs through piles of boxes) but ones like this are available on Aliexpress: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Heavy-Duty-Double-Pole-Double-Throw-DPDT-Toggle-Switch-On-Off-On-20A-125V-Lowest-Price/32808766200.html?spm=2114.search0301.4.54.48fce7

Thanks wayned.

I need standard power switches to go in this facia panel.

Maybe I don't need double pole switches?

I could just switch one side of the 12 V to open it?

 Edit

That would leave one side of 12 V still on the pool light if I did maintenance on the light.

That's why I thought double pile switches.

What would be the best set up?

I know that they make them in the US in the US wall switch configuration, so I would think that they make them  for these fixtures but I have never looked for them.  I tried to access the link to the HACO Thailand catalog but it seems that it has failed!

Come to think a bit more, I just want to switch the lights on or off, so switching either the + 12 V or - 12 V open will turn the lights off. If I want to do maintenance then just unplug the transformer.

So unless someone says different, I'll just install the normal power on/off switches and switch one leg.

I'd usually recommend isolated relays, but as you're only dealing with 12v (isolated transformer, at low amperage, hopefully). So, meh.

Usually we use the 12v to actuate relays to switch 240v or higher currents.

SorryRichCor, you missed an earlier picture of the LED pool light transformer in the swimming pool forum.

Thanks for your reply though.20170504_134851.jpg.699ce13e4f5db513245655dd5d06a55e.jpg20170504_134912.jpg.e608833cde845b3b8c39300504d6f673.jpg
