Just want to make sure of something cuz you never know.

If I extend a non o visa based on marriage for 60 days, will I still be able to extend to 1 year on the same visa or will I need a new visa?

What would be required docs for a 60 day extension?

Regards

You would be extending the 90 day entry from the non-o visa for 60 days not the visa.

You can apply for a one year extension of stay near the end of the 60 day extension of stay.

You wife will need to be with you when to you apply for the extension. You will need your marriage certificate plus a copy, copies of your her house book registry and ID card. You will also need proof of residence.

How can I get a proof of residence as I live in her house.

In that case her house book would be your proof of residence.

I'll try & interpret this - So lets say your on a Multi O marriage & leave the country every 90 days then come back & just before having to do it again you go to Immigration & get a 60 day extension based on marriage, then at the end of that you have to leave country to get another 90 days

So where is the Immigration office that can extend every 90 day entry by 60 days as you would no doubt have to do 3 or 4

It is a 60 day extension to visit your wife. You could get one for every 90 day entry from a multiple entry non-o visa.

But you need to pay attention to the enter before date on your  visa to be able to get the last 90 day entry from it.

You would apply for it at the designated immigration office for where you are living.

Located within the district in which you live.

It would be best to say province. There is certainly not one in every district (Amphoe).

Sure !   I was using the English "district" as a means of ensuring communication 'cos the post seemed to imply there was a "special" immigration office 'somewhere' that offered 60 day extensions

Well this is good to know because it's the first time I've heard of this in my so many years on the forum

So there for I should only need need to run up to Mukdahan maybe 3 times instead of 5 (something like that )

It has been discussed many times on this forum.

Not counting the first entry after getting the visa you would only need to do 2 trips out for a new entry. But if you extended the first and 2nd entry you would only  be able to stay for around 60 days before needing  to do an entry before the visa expires (enter before date).

IN Phuket  on retirement  extension- can I go to IO  ask for 90 day  more before expiry of extension - I am planning to leave permanently in Dec shame to go through a lot of hassle for a one year extension I won't need

Or if I do a border - re entry  can I get 90 days on re entry as long  as I enter before expiry ?

for example Extension  expires on Aug 31,  re enter on  Aug 29th  and get up to Nov 29th?

Thanks on advance

No for either one.

There is no 90 day extension you could get.

Without a valid visa for entry you would only get a 30 day exempt entry if you qualify for it.

No. The best you will get from immigration is 7days during which you must leave.

A border entry with a re-entry permit will not result in any extra time being added to your permission to stay date.

How i max my non o out other solutions are possible of course.

1. first 90 day on newley acquired visa, i then extend for 60 days at immigration based on visiting wife.

2. Border hop new 90 day  stamp on the very last day of the previous  60 day extension. I do 65 days (or whatever is needed) only on this one. (I work it out so the next 90 + 60 runs out exactly on the daymy enter before date expires on visa)

3. Border hop  new 90 day stamp then extend for 60 days again.

In total 365 days.

4. On the day before ( day before as we stay overnight on this one) my enter before date on my visa back in the next day 90 days extend it for 60 as before

Giving you 515 days.

Then pop out and get a new visa and start again.
