Multiple-Entry Non-Immigrant "ED" Visa - Border Run Laos

Featured Replies

Hey,

I have a 90 day multiple entry non-immigrant "ED" visa for my internship in Thailand. With my current flights I would have a 5 day overstay, because I plan to travel for 2 weeks after my internship ended. The fee for 5 day overstay would be 2500 Baht, renewal of the visa for another 30 days apparently 1900 Baht (correct me if I'm wrong), so I'm thinking of going to Laos for a week-end. On arrival-visa to Laos is 1500 Baht and I would have holidays.

So my question: does a multiple entry visa renew itself for another 90 days, if I re-enter Thailand from Laos (re-entering per bus not flight).

Thanks in advance for all help!

As long as you enter prior to the enter before date on your visa you will get a new 90 day entry. It does not matter if you do it by land or air.

There is no 30 day extension (not a renewal) you can apply for since you have non immigrant visa entry. Only a entry from a tourist visa can be extended for 30 days.
