Nissan Cube anyone?

Featured Replies

Looking for a new motor for the family and my Mrs likes the Jazz cars but we spotted a Nissan cube and she seemed interested.  I know it's a bit of a strange motor but I like it from the outside its a touch different but perhaps a popular enough brand for easy servicing etc.

Never even been in a Nissan so can some Nissan users weigh in with their thoughts? Ideas on safety and anything would be great.

To be fair it's got a great safety rating and it's roomy too so it can get a lot of fresh air.

The cube is for the Mrs she drives a Toyota at present but me I'd never touch a wagon but if I had to choose a Mitzi hands down it would be a pajero.

Dont know if its relevant to you but the resale I would think would be very poor.

Unless you intend keeping it til it drops:smile:

If a motor can hang around for 5 years I'm happy. Tbh. They do look a bit low to ground though. Your right the Jazz has resale value. The Mrs wants a cvr but I don't see it happening at all and anyway we only upgrading for better safety which is my main concern with a sprog in the back

I rented one in North Carolina USA in January and it drove very nice. I got about 33 MPG on the highway. You'll have to convert to KPL.

Very roomy and I liked the large windows front and sides. How much does it list for here?

I'm seeing em online used for circa 500k look like 3 years old max. They just look like a car you buy cos you want not because it's all you can afford and I think there's a big difference between mentality of owners in respect of maintenance and the owners. I remember hunting for Mrs 1st car and she was excited about a mirage. One look under the bonnet and that soon faded.

First car we got for "er in doors" was the Mazda 2, we found that a great car til she progressed to her 2nd which was the Honda City. Very impressed with Honda. You mentioned the Jazz which is very popular and great resale value from what I have seen.

They are quite popular but they are all grey market and come from Japan. I was considering one before they got popular but now?

If you can find a good one at the right price? Why not. They are fun happy cars.

We own one (Z11 second generation) with the 1.5L engine. which is similar to the Tiida's engine. We use it in the city (Kalasin) as it's easy to drive and easy to park. Servicing we do at our shop by ourselves, but parts are common with Tiida so not that difficult to find parts. They do have issues with the A/C, but we replaced it and no issues now. It's a relatively popular car as there are 4 of them in Kalasin and quite a few in other cities. Also they come with curtain airbags, etc standard. Better than most cars in Thailand :-)
