Unwanted SMS

Recommended Posts

I receive many SMS every day from companies wanting to sell wallpaper, porn, pictures, games and the like. I have the impression that I have to pay for receiving them.

How can I turn it off without turning off the normal SMS? I have been to a DTAC shop two times already but the SMS keeps coming. I can't explain it to the people in the shop because my Thai and their English are too bad.

Going to a DTAC shop and asking them to stop the SMS is the usual next step.

If any of those are 'subscriptions' services that have been added to your account (usually without your knowledge), a DTAC shop should be able to unsubscribe you from them.

You can also try using the government mandated USSD code  * 1 3 7 (send)   on AIS / DTAC / TRUE / CAT  to have these add-on paid services cancelled.

The Thai message boards recommend sending the code several times, over a couple of days, to make sure it works.
