webfact Posted July 27, 2017 Share Posted July 27, 2017 65 sea turtles released in Prachuap Khiri Khan By The Nation PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN: -- The Siam Marine Rehabilitation Foundation on Thursday released 65 hawksbill sea turtles into the sear in Phachaup Khiri Khan to mark the 65th birthday anniversary of His Majesty the King. The turtles were released by teachers and students from schools in Bang Saphan district. The ceremony was held at the beach of Koh Thalu in Tasmbon Sai Thong. The turtles are one year old and have been nurtured by the foundation. Pornchai Juthamas, deputy director of the foundation, said the 65 turtles had been equipped with microchips so they could be tracked after they return to lay eggs on beaches.
