Exactly what I said!  It's about a gas pipeline.  Thanks!  From that article:

But it's not only about that.

The House-approved measure, which also includes sanctions on Iran and North Korea, targets Russia’s mining, shipping, defense, and other sectors where European companies have extensive links.

Agreed.  But the sanctions against Iran and NK don't seem to bother the EU.  Only those against Russia which might have an impact on the EU.  Makes sense.

Tit for tat then. The US would just do the same.

Russia did hack election computers. They broke the law and should pay the price. Especially considering they are doing the same thing to many other countries. Are you OK with that?

They hacked computers did they? Where is the proof, as opposed to media conjecture? So US color revolutions or regime change have nothing to do with election meddling? OK, seems fair enough.

The Russians actually waiting quite a long time for this stupidity to cool down, instead Congress ratcheted it up notch, seems like a fair tit for tat. Declaring economic war is often a precursor to actual war, I just hope those fools don't get us all vaporized just so they can get a kickback from the arms industry.

Stop trolling.  It's been proven by too many different agencies, and backed up by other countries...who've been hacked themselves.  No media conjecture, just the smartest minds laying it all out.  And of course, Putin admitting it helps! LOL

This isn't just about election hacking.  It's also about Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Syria, etc, etc, etc.

Don't forget the EU is also driving these sanctions.  You seem to only focus on the US.

I've no idea why you brought up the rest. LOL

Well, the EU is another sad story; likewise they should shut up their big mouth and focus on their problems within the EU. Yet, unlike the US, they are not throwing diplomats out or are actively involved in military actions; latter being done by NATO which is "influenced" by the US.

As I said, if everybody would stay home and only protect their own borders, if need arises, we would live in a more stable environment. This applies, quite rightly quoted by you, not only to the US but definitely to the EU as well.

Do you think Putin agrees with that?

The EU is focusing their problems within the EU.  Russia is a huge problem for the EU.  Hacking various countries computers, spreading propaganda, killing people in other sovereign countries territories, using energy as a weapon, etc.

It's be great if Russia did what you state.  Stay home and only protect their own border.  That means leaving Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Syria, etc.  Perfect!  And we'd be living in a more stable environment.

The US has already proven they can take down Russian infrastructure easily.  But haven't done it.  Tit for tat won't work out well for Russia.
