Police look for two foreign women for drowning dog at Pattaya beach

 

 

Tourist police in Pattaya are now looking for two female foreigners for questioning after they were seen in video footage taking a small dog in the sea and drowning it.

 

Tourist police inspector Pol Maj Piyapong Ensarn said the police were tracking the two foreigners for questioning and also asking witnesses to give information after seeing the video clip.

 

If the dog was drowned by the two women, then the police would impose animal cruelty charge on them.

 

The video clip was posted on the “Rak Mha” webpage showing two foreign women were taking a small dog of unknown breed into the sea at Jomthien beach, in front of Cetus Beachfront Pattaya condominium. They submerged the puppy in the sea until it drowned and then walked back to the beach with the dead dig  and disappeared.

 

The video clip went viral on the social world with most viewers calling it animal cruelty and urge police action to bring them for trial.

 

But some also viewed either the puppy might be in serious sickness, or its owner might be going back and didn’t want to take it along.

 

ThaiPBS reporter went to the scene to investigate yesterday.

The person filming did not say a word or try and stop it.

Not exactly great evidence..... didn't even see a dog?

If it was euthanasia, and of course it was, then leave them alone. It's not an easy thing to do, but it is the right thing to do. Thai vets let them suffer to death. They are the ones who should be getting the animal cruelty charges.

Even for a dreadfully sick and diseased dog, getting any vet to put it down is almost unheard of.....maybe a ball pien to the head would have been better!

While they are at it, how about arresting beach government worker who drove bull dozer and buried dog with 5 or 6 puppies on Jomtien Beach year or two ago?

Just what nationality are they suggesting these women were?  Hard to even guess from the video.

Where was the 'dog'?

 

Both returned to the sea again and they were seen drowning the dog for about 20 minutes.

What they did to their dog this time was witnessed by several people, and some took videos before the two female foreigners went back to shore and disappeared.

 

20 minutes to drown a puppy.  2 insane falangs. No one intervening but some videoing. No motorcycle taxi guys to go 10 on 2 to stop this insanity. UFB

Obviously they are foreigners -- they are doing something horrible and Thai people just don't do that.

maybe they got bit by a nasty soi dog and were getting some revenge

Its possible to add whathever story you want to this clip, but to use it as evidence in connection with something that do not appear in the clip - Nope...

Why don't you present the evidence to the police if you want the worker arrested? You don't have any? Then you now have the answer to your question.

Can't see/make out the faces of the tourists so how is the public supposed to help in this case?

Hopefully they don't just fine them 2000 baht, but throw them in a Thai jail.

Video does not show the dog was drowned.

Laughable story considering the state of most dogs and cats in Thailand.  There are so many animals obviously in considerable pain and distress from injuries, disease, parasites or starvation.  Assuming this story is true which this video absolutely shows nothing of the title's claims,  I am sure the people would have done it out of compassion for this "fictitious" animal suffering.  A concept not understood in Thailand...

anyway i did not see a dog in this silly video.   and who knows , maybe the dog was beyond help, there is a reason why they done it and i think maybe a humanitarian reason too

..you would need shoes to avoid being spiked by all the other bones on the sea floor.

Could be the dog committed suicide? Did anyone consider that?

MEMO:  to all Pattaya area long stay suites and hotels with cooking facilities.

 

Please inform all Chinese guests that cooking fresh kill soi dog is not allowed.

Everyday I see a channel on Thai TV that is either showing two bulls fighting each other or two Chickens fighting each other. Dogs are somehow special.
