Pacific Cross Health

Featured Replies

Since Pacific Cross ads are flashing on Thai Visa I thought I would ask for a quote. me 60 years old.  Quote came online in real time.  Standard Plan, 23,500 baht.  780K baht max.  Maxima plan 68,340 Baht, 5 Million baht limits.  I would be getting it for just a few years while waiting for my USA Medicare.  Does anybody have any experience with Pacific Cross?  Do they direct pay the hospitals as most of BUPA would or is it a pay then get reimbursed type of coverage?  Any idea which hospitals accept them?

Thanks

780KBaht? That wouldn't go very far in many hospitals.

Even that isn't exactly expansive. Some heart surgery and a few days in intensive care could be more than that.

Avoid. A friend of mine was with them for 2 years. He didn't have many good things to say about them. Just like most local Thai insurance companies, 99% offer a crap deal and when it comes to paying out.... I just don't even want to get started on that. Too many horror stories I heard. Best to go uninsured in Thailand, get treated at gov hospitals, or buy quality real insurance from non Thai companies e.g. Aviva, MHS etc.
