Hi all-I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this topic but I couldn't find one dealing with legal matters. I live in Phitsanulok / Thailand and want to get a will made so that when I kark it my Thai partner can access my assets without too much hassle. The assets are only bank accounts-one in my name only for immigration purposes and one joint account in both names. I have tried a company that sponsors here but they want 30,000 baht plus two trips to Bangkok. I am looking for some one local that can help me. Any information gratefully accepted.

Get a "simple"  will template on the Internet, get it translated into Thai, name your GF as the executor, take it, translation, medical certificate, and your Passport to your Amphur.   (in the case if any dispute the Thai version is the official one)

Just indicate in the body that this will is only for your property located in Thailand, your property outside of Thailand should be listed in a will where those assets are located

They will register it in their record / log book and may store the original for you.  If not make sure your GF has a copy which she will have to have a lawyer probate after your death.  The Amphur can also provide you with the two thai witnesses  with ID cards that your need to witness  your signature.  The clerks will gladly provide this for a small gratuity

You can spend as much as you want and  it really makes no difference since probate is the same no matter who writes the will and the lawyers hate the idea that DYI is just as good as their service

Now if you get into complicated things like parental rights, family law, etc. then it can require a specialist, other wise keep it simple , KISS
