Non Immigrant O Number 2

Featured Replies

Sorry if this has been answered - going to Kl next week to apply for non immigrant O based on marriage - I was given a single entry non immigrant o by the consulate in Penang last october - this therefore will be my second aplplication.

my questions are: Will I be granted a second non Imm visa?

Believe there is no requirement to show money in bank....still the case?

thank you all.

You should be able to obtain at least a single entry but I would ask for a multi entry first as they have been known to issue them, even after Penang stopped. The marriage certificate and perhaps copy of wife ID card should be all you need. There is no financial requirement for visas (other than the 20k when you return, which is normally not checked).

you should be fine.

if it helps, I got a new 1 year non o afew weeks after my previous 1 year non o expired (that was in Singapore, but the point is that you should not be hassled with questions like "why didnt you get an extension on your last non o?")

So yeah, you will at least get single entry, but dress well, speak polite, give lots of doccuments and go for the 1 year, it might work. No proof of funds needed.

Thanks. I'm taking the wife with me as well. Let you know how it goes.

Take the original marriage cert from the amphur as well, when you flash that around with your wife as well, that will impress the staff and most likely work in your favor.

When I handed our original marriage cert and presented my wife, the lady in Sing gave all of our other doccuments back, except for the copy of the wifes ID card. Im sure you will be fine, and deffinently go for the one year, especially because KL is one of the only 2 places around here that offer the 1 year non o option.

Ok nice one. Thanks from a fellow Aussie.
