I was driving out of Emquartier this afternoon when I saw a late 20's/early 30's foreigner on a skateboard, heading out of town on Sukhumvit Road.

 

He was actually skateboarding on the road, using one lane for his skateboard.

 

Somehow I think he is new in town...

Probably his name is Body Parts.

 

people do this in london too. not only is it stupidly dangerous but it's worrying that someone in their 20s/30s is still interested in skateboarding...

Maybe it was one of those new electric powered skateboards? Those things could be great for BKK but would need a special lane.

You could say the same thing about motorcycles.

It is a not a bad way to get around he was probably moving faster then traffic.

I hope he has deep pockets. The boys in brown are going to love that guy.

in safe areas .. yes ... but not on the road.  But you could say there are no safe areas to ride those,  only in the skateboard parks.

I saw a guy on a noad the other day going quite fast, UPHILL. Electric powered.
