Two Iranians arrested for trying to extend stay on fake passports at Chonburi immigration

Chonburi immigration noticed irregularities in the passports of two people claiming to be Iranians yesterday.

The photo page of the passports seemed to have been tampered with and this was confirmed by the use of a VSC-6000 machine.

The 36 year old couple were apparently staying in Pattaya. They were named as Mayam Firuzbakt and Maseya Raskardani.

They had entered Thailand on tourist visas but their passports were not spotted as being fakes at that time.

Now they are being investigated at Pattaya police to find out what they are up to at the resort, reported Daily News.

Well, it is classed as 'world class !' :passifier:

Anyone caught traveling on a fake passport should be

arrested on suspicion of terrorism.

and thrown in jail for ever.

Unless you have a real good excuse !!!!!!!!!!!!

Suggest they leave this to real investigators. i.e not Thai.

" To find out what they are upto at the resort " .!  Did plod not stop to think that they may be here for some of that " Menage 'a' Trois " trifle that I'm told is on offer here .. :shock1:

Plain stupid. If I was going to try and get an extension on a fake passport, I'd send an agent !

Oh no, not the flux capacitor again!

Iranians with fake passports? I hope the authorities don't just fine them and let them go. I will not trust any Iranians doing this, probably up to no good and terrorists.

Fairly high-tech

But VSC6000 Workstations have now been discontinued and replaced with the VSC8000.

They used advanced technology from outer space. Lucky that we have aliens teaching the onces that actually should know.

Aren't they just re-packaged bomb detectors?

Darn right; how much does a good excuse cost in baht?

I have to give them some credit for following the immigration rules on extending/reporting/etc...

for due credit

The VSC - 6000 is no longer sold and is replaced with the 8000 series. Should probably consider before proudly showing off advanced technology that no one is impressed with yesterdays newspaper.

Don't underestimate them in some cases. These aren't tea money cops.

Are they Iranian,  using fake Iranian passports or both?.  Not that I give a crap...kind of funny actually....a "family vacation" with the wife, using a greasy Iranian passport....555

This ranks up there with the Nigerians caught with a couple hundred Thousand $$ and their  Nigerian friend showing up at the Police Station saying it was his money and could he have it back, they were just holding it for him:sleepy:??

wonder if the exact same passport was used upon arrival?  Can't quite tell from the article.  Were they the ones that actually entered on those passports?  Are they different people trying to use those modified passports now?

Ah Sherlock, I'll recommend you straight away, that is if you're not Thai, biased or bigoted.:sorry::wai:

Have you got this in the right thread?  I thought this was about Iranians with fake passports, maybe a small error?:wai:
