Funny Banana! - Frustrated locals in ironic protest but the authorities don't see the funny side....

Locals in Pattaya came up with an unusual way to shame the local authorities over the state of a road that has been dug up for three years.

They planted five banana trees in the piles of earth that were once Soi Siam Country Club.

Then they sent them to the media and posted them online.

And added the sarcastic comments: "We shall be able to enjoy the fruit of the trees long before the soi is finished".

Sophon Cable reported that the ironic gesture was a result of years of frustrations of locals in the area whose lives have been blighted and whose businesses have suffered as the pipe laying project has dragged on.

Sophon reported that the authorities soon removed the banana trees.

Because ladyboys bathing in potholes is so 2016.

At least, they have a sense of humor, how refreshing.  Thailand takes itself far to serious today.

Still not getting their road fixed though.

Problem is there is no money left to finish the road ass it has all been skimmed off by the local officials.

They should be growing cajones........... not bananas.

I call Soi siam country club lunar lane. Its like driving on the moon.

I assume the LPGA women golf tournament will be in that area in February.  Do they use that road to get in and out of the club?
