I'd have expected them to use Thai Air Force markings if they're using it for a decoration. Or maybe Chinese PLA just to add a touch of intrigue at the market.
August 17, 20178 yr There seems to be many of the same type of German model Jet training plane around Thailand. All junked. Boats and airplanes require constant maintenance, costs money.

Wander around Arizona on Google earth and you'll see hundreds (thousands?) of junked aircraft in the care of the richest, most wasteful military in the world. In several boneyards. At some point, they either hour out structurally, become obsolete or cost too much to maintain. http://www.airplaneboneyards.com/davis-monthan-afb-amarg-airplane-boneyard.htm

August 18, 20178 yr Even deserted 747 Jumbo jets are parked in the middle of nowhere in Thailand. Even in Bangkok there is supposed to be an airplane "graveyard". And the little plane in the OP has done it's job: it attracted your attention so much that you would post in Thaivisa
August 18, 20178 yr I've seen fencing business that buys up whole aircraft to melt down and make aluminium fencing in their yard quite often
August 18, 20178 yr https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/RFB_Fantrainer So here is why large numbers of these strange looking planes are junked in Thailand "The Royal Thai Air Force used the FT400 and FT600 versions to train ab initio pilots who then went on to fly the Northrop F-5E fighter aircraft".
