Hi

I am looking for Customer Service Jobs

I currently work in a large call centre taking both inbound calls and doing correspondence and admin tasks for a bank in Bradford  and am buddy / mentor for new starters also floor walking duties where help is given to agents who have a query they are unsure of answer to or don’t understand but would like to relocate to Thailand and have UK NVQ Level 3 in management with an interest and background in banking / finance and retail.

My experience is concentrated in Sales / Customer Service with exposure to Marketing / Channel Management. I have 32 years of work experience, with 24 years of management experience, including   mid-level positions

I will provide a full CV via Pm or Email

Please note I do not speak Thai.

Thanks

I'm sorry but based on your Post you have zero chance of finding employment in your field here in Thailand.

"32 years of work experience" would indicate that you are at least 50 years old - a virtually insurmountable barrier for a first time worker in Thailand.

"Please note I do not speak Thai" ( ! ) then how on earth do you expect to communicate with Thai staff or Thai Clients here - much less make any contribution to "floor walking duties where help is given to agents who have a query they are unsure of answer to or don’t understand".

Seriously, there is literally no chance of a job like that for a Farang here in Thailand.

Sorry, but as @p_brownstone said it's not really going to happen for you in Thailand.

Please don't forget that:

1. Work permits here are restricted. This means your employer needs to explain why a Thai person cannot do the job you want a work permit for, and

2. As a foreign worker your salary would be about double what an employer would pay to a Thai person for this job. Why would an employer do that if you can't even communicate with other team members or follow any form of written communication in Thai?

3. As has been mentioned, being 50+ makes you unsuitable for a Thai company. People hired in this age range are normally either English teachers or people going into very senior management positions. Age discrimination happens quite often in Thailand; job adverts specify the required age of applicants.

If you would have near-to-native language skills in other languages than English (Spanish, German, French, Chinese, Arab, Indonesian, Vietnamese etc) you would have a chance to find a call center Job in the Philippines even at an older age.

In Thailand - virtually impossible

Sorry if you found the posters replies rather blunt... but sadly they are factual.  You are not likely to get a job here for all the reasons mentioned.. you age being the least of the problems.  Do some research about working in Thailand.

You 'know' there are jobs out there, not even living here and never having worked here and can't speak the language.... yet you won't take advise from people who have lived here for many years already and know the system.......

I am happy you feel optimistic about getting a customer service job here.... so if you want to rub everyone's nose in it, so to speak, we will look forward to hearing from you when you do get a job here.... but I suspect that may be not any time soon...... sorry for the reality check.

sorry you misread my post and i had mistyped it too...i realise there is not a good chance of finding that job but like the lottery you got to be in it to win it.....also i may be able to do part time or freelance... and there are job being offered that would suit my skills but they are in chang mai but thanks i have done my research and they are there though as you say my  my age might work against me....though some companys do prefer a mature head.

This fits my skills ,,,,,,
