  1. In general Thailand has a good road system. My pet peeve is on a national highway such as No 1 far too many traffic lights & unsafe U turns. Understand on the lesser roads not possible but on their No 1 highway ??
  2. Speed up progress,,,,,,, u gotta just luv it ??
  3. Couple of right old moralists on here that must have got out of the wrong side this morning. In saying that you should pop into one of the clinics mentioned above, get checked out & swallow the bitter pill. They will also check that no other STD (possibly more serious) has been picked up. Do it ASAP for your own good
  4. What the staunch Trumpees will not admit is that most of the 4 trillion is coming out of the average US of A's citizens pockets, again, robbing from the poor to help the rich & state coffers
  5. Any full bank branch can organize for you, about a 10 minute process. They are protecting your money
  6. Show them the trade figures & they may change their tune. They are neighbours & a healthy trade surplus with Cambodia (which Thailand desperately needs) needs to continue, so a few heads being banged together to knock some sense into them is in order on both sides. To even suggest that it is all Cambodia's fault just shows a lack of education & brainwashing
  7. We just returned from an 8 day family holiday in Perth & it was just OK. Having travelled this route & to Auckland on many occassions I gotta say that where I used to give Thai an 8/10 they now get a 5/10. Reasons, aircraft dirty & old, Food & drink service nothing compared to what it used to be. Pity as was gold for 15 years but now look for alternatives
  8. The beginning of the end,,,,,,,again
  9. That, along with cutting electricity from Burma as well must be costing Thailand more export earnings. All over a bit of dirt & a pile of stones that people are prepared to die for
  10. Thai Airways will do just fine going forward on one condition Do not allow Government Ministers & their hangers on from demanding free travel & that includes the Foreign Ofice who all staff thought they could "catch a freebie" whenever they wanted.
  11. This has happened to me twice coming out of Perth where the flight has been delayed overnight. We had to reenter Oz again as we had been waiting to board both times. We got a big blue stamp across the Oz departure stamp "Did Not Depart" Got our passports back & taken by bus to accommodation. Maybe Thai Immigration did not want the job of checking back in & out & making it quicker to get through & on their way when plane became available. It would be Immigration that had the say, not the airline,,,, methinks
  12. You are younger than you look or have not been here long. I remember getting 17.8 Bht to the AUD which continued for about 5 months. As I was being paid out of Oz in those days it hurt
  13. This sounds like a Trump statement. Sometimes there is no doubt better to just keep the trap shut
  14. You must admit Damo if you gotta go, not a bad way to go
