Many silly comments on here obviously made by folks who have never driven heavy vehicles. Gearing is the ONLY way to get a heavy vehicle down a long steep incline. Brakes on their own will sooner or later just get too hot & fail. Even heavy planes use reverse thrust to aid their brakes in slowing down, well some ( eg: Qantas 747 landing at Don Muang did not hence going off the end of the runway)

This Vance is a nasty piece of work & is a great accomplice of "The goose" If they really had concerns about "world security & not just a land & mineral grab by the worlds wanna be policeman who are quoting Russia & China as the enemy, they would stick troops on the ground in Ukraine & sort out Russia first, not stop supply of arms to Ukraine. But that will not happen as Putin & "The goose" wanna get in bed with each other & rule the world.

Not sure they have fully grasped the magnitude of the costs of putting together a "street track" along with the costs of not only buying & erecting the stands, safety fences & pit stop requirements. A street track is worse as can only be used once a year & has the added cost of disassembly & storage properly. They should have a long hard look at the Korean GP situation & the exorbitant costs expended with no recompense by F1 at all.

Not long after I moved here to live the Aussie $ was under 17 Bht to the AUD Not a concern then & not a concern now. Of course cost of living has gone up here, but quality of life in Thailand is far better for far less money in particular if you do not own your own home in OZ.
