A prestigious factory owner and his family barely escaped when their luxury vehicle spontaneously caught fire on the Bhumibol Bridge.

The car fire incident took place while the man was driving his wife and three children home from a shopping centre. The entire car was burned when the fire took hold, however, incredibly, there were no injuries.

Yesterday, an investigator from Phra Pradaeng Police Station, Samut Prakan Province, received a report of a car fire on the Bhumibol Bridge heading towards Suksawat road. The car fire occurred approximately 300 metres before reaching ground level in Bang Phueng Sub-district in Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan Province.

Officials from the Lad Luang Municipal Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office were notified and promptly dispatched a fire engine.

Upon arrival, a fierce fire was ravaging a luxurious Toyota Harrier with the registration 1 Kor Chor 861 Bangkok. It took the officials thirty minutes to extinguish the blaze, resulting in complete damage to the vehicle.

We know for certain it was an EV by the nature of the reporting. Cause of fire unmentioned. No negative EV news is allowed e.g. like EV's catching on fire in China and else where. The EV agenda is etched in the stone of the green new deal.

If an EV fire, that would be the headliner, along with 5 repeating threads of the same.

Extinguished in 30 minutes should be another clue ... ????  I don't think Thai firefighters ride around with EV fire blankets.

Not about this incident, but why are EV's allowed to park in covered Shopping Malls and even be plugged into a battery charger.

Vehicles with an LPG/NGV installation are prohibited to enter a covered parking area but EV's which tends to burst on flames at the slightest malfunction can hang with a dozen at a charging spot in a covered mall.

Why?

Why?

The Norwegian Ferry Company Havila Kystruten has recently banned all EVs coming aboard their ferries because of the risk of fire. And that's in a country with a very high percentage of EVs on the road.

They have 2 ships, and they only hold 5 cars ????

"“Despite the focus on EV fires in the news,” the researchers concluded, “they are not inherently more dangerous than gas or hybrid vehicles, although electric fires tend to be more difficult than gas fires to extinguish "
