Everything's crashing - help!
I was thinking dead cat bounce but Bloomberg is saying the bottom is in.....JPM estimates there's another 50% of the carry trade yet to cash out. S&P is up 1%+ currently. Overall I'm down 2% thus far which is very respectable, I think. -

Quality Inner Tubes?
Rubber tubes always lose air. They lose less when driven daily. But if sitting and not driving around the air loss will be faster. You need to ask for the better tubes offered and make sure that is what you get. They leak air slower because of the thickness. -

Brutal assault on Canadian raises serious questions about tourist safety in Pattaya
I didn't say that. I clearly said what I witnessed in my comment, which you copied.... If you're having difficulty figuring out why I mentioned what I did... it was to show that it wouldn't be surprising in the least one or more of these thugs assaulted him for leaning on a car. Many people on here were expressing doubts that it could be something so simple. They seem to have forgotten that TIT. -

So who is not married to a Thai?
What makes you think the posters in this site are experts? Just this comment alone shows you think you are the expert for Thailand. Everyone has their own experiences and opinions and the readers can discern and make decisions about their own opinions or beliefs. I do not think anyone can make claim to be an expert on Thailand, not even Thais. This country changes its agena and rules at an instant without proper thought how it affects the future or the people. They try things and then go back on them when it shows conflict or something drastic happens making Thais complain a lot. There is no set rules even when laws make set rules. They may get followed for a short time but then people do what they want instead. -

Thailand's Constitutional Court to Decide on Move Forward Party's Dissolution on August 7
Government is lucky that Thai people are generally ambivalent or gutless to stand up against such conduct.- 1

Thailand to tax residents’ foreign income irrespective of remittance
In separate posts on both Instagram and Facebook yesterday, the Thailand Privilege company (the state enterprise formerly known as Thailand Elite) urged potential new members to 'relax': "The introduction of new tax laws in Thailand have caused undue worry for many foreigners. What income is taxable? How much do I owe? But there’s reason to relax: all income earned and kept outside of Thailand is tax-free; and any income earned prior to 2024 is also tax-free," the Facebook post reads. The advertisement credits the Revenue Department as its information source. The Instagram post is worded a bit differently. https://www.instagram.com/p/C-VFGklNjQl/ While this is correct as of now, it also seems to imply that the situation continues. Would it be too bold to assume that before urging everyone to relax (and join), they have actually discussed this with the Revenue Department and have been reassured that worldwide taxation is not just around the corner?
