now im confused, what shirt are you after, rugby or soccer?

There is only one World Cup 2010? in South Africa? Football?

In most other counteries the national shirts would be selling like hotcakes - as all nationalities will want to watch the games starting in June and many to wear the shirt - but it seems to have passed Thais by...

ok

you threw me with the "wrong shape ball comment"

as my reply was with regards to the "all whites" shirt, which is the name for the NZ Football Soccer team, who have also qualified for the 2010 Fifa finals

Football is football and is played with a round ball. If you want to play,or watch, soccer you will have to go to the US or Canada.

If you want to play ,or watch the other game, where the ball is predominately in the hands, its called Rugby and the Kiwis (New Zealanders), used to be very good at it but sadly that is no longer the case. Buying an England football shirt could be a gamble if they were to be outed before the semi finals. It would bring with it a certain amount of ridicule and embarrassment. Better to buy an Australian shirt which will give you a greater chance of longevity :)

from where i come from football is Rugby Union or Rugby League, usually referred to as footie, and as you describe "where the ball is predominately in the hands, its called Rugby and the Kiwis (New Zealanders), used to be very good at it but sadly that is no longer the case" I would like to pointout that NZ is still good at rugby. See lastest IRB rankings for clarification.

Soccer is the name of a round ball game where they predominately kick, with the soul focus is to kick the ball into the goal to score unless your hand touches the ball first before going in goal, in which case yr name is Thierry Henry :D

im assuming youre aussie as you are suggesting to the OP that he purchase a socceroos shirt

im at a loss why you would purchase either a socceroos or aussie footie shirt as they havent pick up any major silverware for ages

*Trinations 2001

*Bledisloe Cup 2002

*RWC 1999

*FIFA WC ???

i think you get the picture

:D

if yr having difficulty finding a England one try looking for a NZ (All Whites) one

A source of soccer shirts may be The Red Lion. They always seem to have plenty in red, anyway!

Why? Is Kevin on the Hunt for some Red Shirts with lions. I thought the England team wore a white shirt with Red Lions and a sponsor's logo on them. Now that Beckam is to become a TV pundit (see UK press today) as he will not be playing can. we find a pub to sponser a non red lion shirt area

The Red Lion has had a good line in football shirts for a long time and as Kevin Hunt the landlord is a Scouser, he tends to favour the red, away shirts. Talk to Kev for more info.

well the RL certainley knows how to put their name into just about every thread on TV! I only asked about where to buy an England shirt in CM!

Really? I don't think so!

You miss the point. The world game we love is called football but only in the US and Canada, because of the game they play in head gear, is it called soccer not even David Beckham was able to change that terminology. The World Cup is the secong biggest sporting event in the world after the Olympics :)

Best to get someone in the UK to buy it and send it over. You may get one in Robinsons, but you will find the Night Bazar forgeries usually take longer to appear.

I have a spare one for a 4 year old purchased in London. My daughter is refusing to wear it! Cost best part of 50 GBP with socks and shorts!

I dont think the Thais make any of them. They all come fron China. The Thais have very little to no say over what product they receive to sell.

Try www.uksoccershop.com/products/11265.html . GBP 59.99 a pop, but if you had gone to the Red Lion, Kevin Hunt could have told you that himself!

Why keep mentioning the RL? are you Kevin in disguise... I like the place but its getting a bit boring? did you read the title of my request? somewhere in Chiang Mai - I do know I can get it in England
