How much money will it cost to get reentry permit in bkk?

Can you make your query a tad clearer ?

What kind of a visa have you got?

A re-entry permit is a simple Soi Suuan Plu matter of an hour or so and the fee-used to be 500 is it 1900 now like everything else?

I am getting fussy about English. 'Inform me please' is neither correct nor polite!

The cost of a single re entry permit is 1,000 baht.

OOOOh! What did you have for lunch?. Is it 1900B was a Q. Why didn't you post the B1000 answer already?

Who would have thought such simple matters would stir the bees! Take care!

Will clean glasses immediately so can see the Q mark next time and try not transpose 'is it' to 'it is' in my mind. :o

Did not post earlier as not sure this poster is for real. Reads like a troll.

sri + lop : if rather than having a little fun, you would read this posters second post (use bus in penang visa trip) then another answer would probably be more helpful to him:

re-entry permit is necessary only for ONE-YEAR-EXTENSION of non-immigrant vis or RESIDENT visa.

Holding no visa, a tourist visa, or non-immigrant without extension (whatever of this you are having), you just cross the border and come back in.

sorry, have to add: or get a new visa (in penang)

Re. the whole re-entry permit business - my (English) wife has a Type O Visa, can I 'buy' a re-entry permit at the airport to allow us to leave the country for the week-end without invalidating her Type O? If so is this a pretty straight forward (and quick) transaction at BKK airport or should I allow some time to get it sorted.

it depends if this is just a non-immigrant -o or if she has an (1-year) extension?

non-immigrant 0 : you leave the country and come in on it again (if multiple entry!) the 90 days starting from that date

1-year extension : you certainly need a re-entry permit, if not, the extension (and the already expired) non-immigrant is invalidatet.

re-entry at don muang : check in and get your boarding pass, with this, one foto and 1.000bt you go to the re-entry counter (about middle of term 1, behind check-in counters), fill in the form, and in about 30 minutes you will get the re-entry visa.

if you want to make more than one trip in/out within a year, the "multiple" re-entry visa is 3.800bt.

This delayed and chico pretty much answered you but was trying to post this but TRUE lost all international lines for a bit at my location.

It has to be done after you check in for your flight and before you enter immigration area so allow time to go to terminal 1 and fill out form, pay, provide photo, have passport endorsed and return to clear immigration. Should only take 10-15 minutes but I would do at immigration office prior to travel myself.

You say wife has type O visa but not what type of entry she has. If it is not an extension of stay for one year or a single entry visa she may not need a re entry permit.

If what she has is a multi entry O visa she will get a new 90 day stay stamp when she returns and no re entry permit would be required.

Don't forget yourself if you need a re-entry permit and do not have.

that mean

If I get tourist visa and come to thailand, stay a few days, then I must go out abroad for 1 week, and want to come back bkk,

but I cannot use reentry permit? because of having only tourist visa?

reentry permit is cannot be used for tourist visa?

sorry I dont understand the sentense.

i am not sure that i get you right :

you want to come in on tourist visa, go for one week, come in again?

if yes : tourist visas are issued with one up to multiple entries, when you have "multiple or at least 2) entries, then you are ok.

the easier way is if you only come for "a few days", don't use any visa, you can stay here without visa up to 30 days!!

coming back after one week and staying up to 60 days, you need a tourist visa.

don't worry about "re-entry", that's a totally different story, you have nothing to do with this

Please answer to my question all,

I have a tourist visa, and can I use reentry permit?

otherword, the reentry permit can be used for tourist visa also?

If extended more 30days, during stay 90days, can I use reentry permit to comme back thailand?

Pinned at the Top of the Forum are instructions

You have not followed them

What passport do you hold?

If you are from the Indian Sub Continent (FOR EXAMPLE)

you might not Qualify for Visa on Arrival.

And you will not be able to get a Thai Tourist Visa in

Thailands Neibouring Countries.

In fact you might be only able to get a Tourist Visa in your OWN Country

and in THAT case - if you want to make a Side trip out of Thailand

Then You WILL NEED a Re-Entry Permit.

Others have given details how to get Re-entry at the Airport

but as someone has said - for peace of mind I would NOT RELY on that service.

I have witnessed certain passport holders being harrassed by the staff there.

Re-entry Permits can be got within an hour at Immigration HQ

in Sathorn Soi Suan Phlu.

The only nationality from the subcontinent that can get a 15 day tourist visa on arrival is an Indian, and that visa cannot simply be extended. Others from the subcontinent need to get a visa in their homeland or country of residence before entry to Thailand.

I do not see how you get extra 45 days

The Re-entry permit does not give any extra days

it will have the same expiry date as your original

60 days stamp.

So without getting a Visa on arrival

you can get the original 60 days plus any extension that they agree

to give to you - usually 30 days - but I do NOT think that this is

Guaranteed

Why not sure?

At first come to thai with tourist visa , get 60days stamp, ,then stay 30 days, then go to immigration to get reentry permit, then go out abroad, stay abroad 15 days, then come back thai, then I can stay 15days. during this 15days, I go to immigration to extend 30days,

so I can stay more 45days after come back thai,

Is it correct? because everybody can extend 30days ,if they have tourist visa.

Get a double entry tourist visa and avoid the hassles. It won't cost much different.

yes I will get dowble entry and I will use reentry permit too

then I can stay 45+60+30days after back from abroad.

but if i dont use reentry permit, I can stay only 60+30days after back from abroad

I am not sure now,

Can I extend tourist visa 30days, if I use reentry permit?

or can I use reentry permit, if I extend tourist visa 30days?

Yes, re-entry permits can be issued for both NON-Immigrant and Tourist visas.

OK - I see where you get the 45 days - AFTER you return from your Side Trip.

BUT - in my expeirence - 30 days extensions are NOT automatic.

Some Passports are limited to 7 or 10 days extension to Tourist Visa.

But I have no experience of how it is applied to Greek Passports.

I confirm that Re-Entry permits ARE issued to Tourist Visa holders.

And I see no reason why you should not have both Re-entry & extension.

I do hope you will help others by coming back here after your visit

and tell us your experience ...

Thanks

Yes, it is open but allow some extra time, you might have to find and wake up the fellow. :o

Whatever happens I do get my re-entries downtown, just don't want to rn through the airport back and forth. But in a case like yours, just check in early because you need the boarding pass.

In the past - I have avoided the Re-entry Permit

Counter at the Airport. I have always obtained my

Permit in advance at Suan Phlu Immigration HQ.

However last time I decided to give the Airport Counter

a try ...

They were helpful - and after they complete the admin work

- the passenger has to wait for their "Boss" to sign the Permit.

15 mins should be sufficient.

I had previously regarded the Airport Counter as an outpost of the

Immigration HQ - but I think it must be staffed & supervised by

Airport Immigration - and therefore on duty 24 hours.

I would imagine that if it were not staffed - one need only proceed

to the Exit Immigration Officers Counters and ask if someone can

be sent to the Re-entry Permit Counter.

They will only process Permits for Boarding Pass Holders

- so the time passengers have available for applying at the

Counter is limited by the Time that your AirLine opens your

Flight Check-In Counter and the queue you might find in front

of you there.

And a Queue at the Re-entry Permit Counter that I encountered

is also possible.
