Jason Daron Mizner, 31, was arrested Wednesday in the Mae Rim district of Chiang Mai, after his Thai girlfriend pressed charges against him for molesting her daughter. Mizner, who fled to Thailand last Nov 28, had proposed marriage to a Thai woman in Chiang Mai and on Monday had asked her to let him take her daughter to his home for company, said Mae Rim Police Maj Chatchawal Saengboon. When her daughter was returned, the woman suspected she had been sexually violated and pressed charges against Mizner. A hospital examination of the girl confirmed sexual contact, Chatchawal said. He said Mizner faces charges of child abduction, attempted rape and producing child pornography. Jason Daron Mizner, 31, was arrested Wednesday in Chiang Mai after his Thai girlfriend informed police he had taken her daughter for an overnight trip Monday and that the child appeared to have been sexually violated. A medical examination of the child confirmed the suspicion, said police Col. Montree Sampunyanoud. According to police, the couple was living together in Mae Rim, near Chiang Mai, and Mizner told his girlfriend he wanted to spend the nightat an apartment he maintained in Chiang Mai. He suggested he take the child with him so the two could become closer and she agreed, police said. Mizner, from the eastern Australian state of Queensland, faces up to15 years in prison if convicted of attempted rape of a minor and abducting the child from her mother, police said. According to Montree, an Australian warrant was out for Mizner's arrest. A few years ago my flatmate and myself came across a charlatan and in pursuing him further we found sme frightening evidence concerning him and young children - no pics but lots of circumstantial evidence on the web etc. We passed this info on to someone who informed the police - they did not seem interested at first but someone did take an interest. When they caught up with him in scotland he was doing exactly the same sort of things as the accused above was with a 8 year old girl I think it was. He used to advertise himself as a Psychologist among other things to get close to children as well as having elationships with single mothers - his adverts in lonely hearts often expressed a desire for a ready made family. He got a life sentence for this but the tariff was set at only 6 years (for none UK readers a tarrif is the min someone must serve of a life sentence before they are eligible for parole - most do not get out on a min I believe) If anyone here reads the PPRUNE board they will know exactly who I am talking about here. This pathetic creature deserves whatever the courts throw at him. Preferably time in a Thai jail not an Aussie holiday camp. With regard to him being like an animal, I wonder if any creature in the animal kingdom violates it's young like Homo Sapiens seems to do on occasion? I guess there's some record out there?
