Microsoft (Thailand) President gave suggestions on standardized e-government

President of Microsoft (Thailand) Ltd. met Deputy Minister and Minister of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at the Government House and gave suggestions on the standardized e-government.

Following the meeting, ICT Minister Sitthichai Phokai-udom (สิทธิชัย โภไคยอุดม) revealed that Mr Ardrew Mcbean, President of Microsoft (Thailand) Ltd. had informed M.R.Pridiyathorn Devakula, Deputy Minister and Finance Minister, of the company’s operation in Thailand and discussed on how Microsoft can contribute in supplying e-government projects. The e-government is aimed to connect all networks within the government agencies together to faciliate work.

At the same time, Mr Sitthichai said that the ministry will proceed with the the Ua-arthorn (เอื้ออาทร) computer project or the “One Laptop One Child.” Nevertheless, he insisted that the laptops have to be in good condition and function normally. Personnel training on ICT should also be carried out.
