  1. Is this 800K taxable? Shouldn't all expats on Non-O's retirement be eligible for an 800k transfer each year?
  2. This is pretty unusual, usually you have no problem recruiting to defend the homeland so Ukraine's military should be flush with young men willing to sacrifice themselves to save their country, but Ukraine are struggling for men and can't find anyone willing to go to the front. Perhaps this is because their commanders simply look at them as cannon fodder and totally expendable, and because the potential recruits reason that Russia cannot lose....Russia can only draw or win....Ukrainians can die for a draw or a loss. 50 years back if this war were to have taken place, patriotic fervour would have driven thousands to the Ukronazi front lines. It seems that patriotism, thank god, is on the decline. Why should men die for their vile, corrupt politicians and oligarchs?
  3. Too much risk to innocent people, police should let the perp escape and pick him up later.
  4. The war was caused by endless US provocation via its warmongering NATO alliance. The world will never see peace until this hydra is strangled.
  5. Great plane. Best in the business when I started flying long haul in the late 70s early 80s. You got off the flight feeling relaxed and headache free. The L1011 (? from some other company) was dreadful for causing headaches in me.
  6. It is a drug which the manufacturer, Pfizer, had different options to target. It came out of a drug discovery program into epilepsy, but had utility for neuropathic pain. Other painkilling agents do little for neuropathic pain, and many people have neuropathic pain as a sequela to diabetes, so Pfizer studies it in neuropathic pain. It was the first agent ever to be approved for this indiction. Combined with other agents like duloxetine (also approved for neuropathic pain) and tramadol (an older atypical opioid, not approved for NP) it is very effective. By itself it has activity but not outstanding clinical efficacy. Pregabalin beat the FDA standard of having greater efficacy than placebo by 15%, which is not exactly life changing.
  7. I despise the corrupt bastards.
  8. Jesus, how absolutely awful. This guy needs a really painful death. soon.
  9. This is obviously getting serious. I suppose they should form a committee to write a report on the seriousness of Labubu dolls. Maybe the committee could have several subcommittees to write the several parts of the document. The answer is Chinese scammers....they buy their Labubu dolls cheap in Patpong, Bangkok and then scam poor 8 years olds. It happened with Beanie Babies a few years back.
  10. Wonderful stuff. You know they will never do anything to hurt or inconvenience business polluters or lifestyle polluters ie voters. But let's face it science has little credibility today with thinking people, hence the response from citizens to the whole global warming giant scam, as they see it. Science is a group think driven business where data that doesn't fit the narrative is discarded and promotions and grants are given to faithfuls servant of the Scientific Narrative. Today it was announced that Scientific American has an article saying that there are way more that two sexes....not genders mind you, more than two sexes. Good God, Galileo would be put to death by the scientists today (alliteration).
  11. 41 degrees C today when I went out for a run today (from the car thermometer driving to the running track).....what are those whinging Euros whining about now? Man up you miserable Eurorunts and start training to run a marathon at 40 degrees plus, like me.
  12. From the voting it looks like this thread is populated by warmongers (6 warmongers with a down vote) or people that support the need for war as some sort of reflexive reactive. I despise this sort of person.
  13. Clinton is a vile war pig in the same Neo-con warmongering group of Ugly War Pigs (UWPs) like Nuland, Blinken, Biden, Austin etc etc
  14. It's 'grammar,' not 'grammer'. Learn to spell before criticising others.
  15. I'm American and I'm not afraid. Indeed I have no fears except I fear for the nation if Genocide Joe Biden gets in. How can a man with no morals on the issue of genocide be president? It's inconceivable and scary to me.
  16. Ahhhh good old Tommy, turns up like a turd on a birthday cake, trying to stir up trouble. Got off on a technicality. The same and exact trouble that the "obviously Jewish" guy was trying to create, but he avoided arrest.
  17. War is ugly, but European politicians love it, especially the Brits. I see only pain in the future. We need to get rid of these warmongering scum as our leaders, if there is to be a happy life for our kids and grandkids. Vote for peacemakers not warmongers.
  18. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. No more vaccine for me. I'm not concerned because I don't believe it anyway.
  19. I sincerely hope not. I am enjoying this exchange rate on my SS paid here. But I can't decide who has the weaker currency really. If US rates come down, so will the currency. If Thai rates come down so will the currency. You then have state of the nation......US in an awful pickle what with provoking wars to break out everywhere, and the tax payer has to pay for them and a deficit of $1 trillion this year so, $3 trillion forecast for this year. Thailand in a smaller pickle, but a pickle being created by a mindless baboon who dreams up new expensive gimmicks every day and never ever finishes a job.
  20. A provocative idiot only there to cause trouble. The pro Palestinian march was peaceful. He should have been arrested and charged with intent to cause a riot.
  21. Goodness. I left Europe in 1985 unable to see much of a future for my kids in the UK under the vile Thatcher. I wouldn't fancy living there now without huge a/c units next to me 24/7, and the cost would be outrageous unless you lived ion a small hovel. Sometimes the grass really is greener on the other side. You couldn't pay me to live in Europe lead by half witted politicos like Ursula, Borrell, idiot Macron, submissive Scholz and Sunak etc. They make Srettha seem like a statesman instead of a used car salesman.
