Domestic Airline Travel must you do Online Check-in or not?
MJCM replied to MJCM's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
Thx. Appreciated. I think so as well, but with these cost cutting exercises by these low cost airlines are really pushing it, so I wouldn't be surprised one bit if showing up at the airport it's totally empty (no airport staff) and only robots doing the work. Like the delivery of food in MK nowadays! Even their 02 number points you to their chat-bot ???? -
I tried to call the airport in Satuek, but both numbers I have found via Google are out of order or not answered. Anyone has a WORKING phone number for the Airport in Satuek? If for the local AirAsia office that would be even better!! TiA Ps: the main Airasia phone number (02) just refers you to their chatbot online ????

Domestic Airline Travel must you do Online Check-in or not?

Can't edit anymore, but also tried to call the local (departing) Airport, but both numbers I found are out of order. -
I just booked an Airasia ticket to fly domestically from Buriram to Don Muang Airport. We are taking 2 suitcases with us. I tried to call to Airasia, but they just refer you to their chatbot online via an automated message. Talked to the chat-bot and NOOOOOO way to be able to talk to a real person and their chat-bot is useless. This cost cutting by these airlines is really ???? So must I do the online check-in or can you just show up at the airport and check-in there?

True, but I was assuming that the OP has internet (he posts on here ???? ) and his Brother not, and the Skype to Landlines (Mobiles) is a cheaper way to call his Brother. @MrMuddle Skype can be installed on a PC or on a Phone. (You only need it (your brother does NOT if he doesn't have Internet) If using it via PC you need to have A microphone attached to the PC. If using it via a Phone nothing extra is needed! Sorry no idea as I don't use a Landline, but if possible why not use Whatsapp / Line? My wife calls her sister in the UK that way approx 2 times a day and they talk for hours (cost free) But must say both options only work if both of you have internet either via 3G/4G or Wifi. Edit: Have a look at Skype, there are subscriptions as low as $6.99 per month unlimited minutes (but 0.35¢/min if you use 2000 mins per month which equates to approx 33 hours) with a free trial period https://www.skype.com/en/international-calls/Canada

How to auction our property
MJCM replied to FarAway's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
No idea, but do post some info in here: https://aseannow.com/forum/73-thailand-accommodation-finding-forum/ And maybe someone on here could be interested. -
My Wife is a real keen gardener so we eat most veggies direct from the garden (no chemicals used only environmental friendly stuff) and we have so much that most of it we give to our family/friends/local school! We have 2 fish ponds (1 small (for the young ones to grow) and 1 big one (total area for the fish pond is 1 rai). So when we want to eat fish we're going fishing and in a short while that is our dinner sorted. Very recently we bought the property next door and my wife already has a lot of plans for that. Chickens / Ducks etc etc. Rice we get from the BIL as he farms his farm land and ours in our old village. Water wise, we have a well and we do collect rain water for washing and drinking (after filtering of course) Electricity, unfortunately our Solar plans fell through but I am still thinking of getting Solar in! (we do have some solar, but only for the Well and the Pump to the tank of our garden Tank) Edit: Added Picture (left hand side is for the young ones, right is for big ones)

Thx. Done that been there (also told by my Plumber friend). My guess is that the guy who glued those fittings cut the pipes too short so that they did not have a lot of "meat" inside where the glue catches and also did not use sufficient glue. And it's only leaking on those joints (but it's a pain to remove and exchange it (LOTS of Pipe (21 water tanks interconnected) In the meantime (same guy) also did not use enough glue on the rain gutters on our build (just over 2 years old) and we already had to replace all of that because it was leaking on all the joints!! And that was with the glue from the rain gutter manufacturer.
-
Thx. I was maybe not that clear, but What I meant was that on all threaded fittings we use this much tape, but on the fittings that don't have threads they thus must use glue. Glue deteriorates, and in our case all the leaks we have are on the PVC that is connected to each other with glue! I am really thinking of changing all that PVC to HDPE Pipe with the connectors that @Crossy is using!!
-
Here the example how my plumber friend showed me how to do it with the tape, I am keeping this and showing it to anyone who comes to "handle our PVC." All my Tanks and connectors (with thread) are done this way and NO leaks, only leaks where people used the glue (which of course deteriorates)

I have to use the app, because our house and our brothers / old house is approx 20-30kms away and before they remember to send the bill to use, late payment will be in effect ????

Dtac aggressive marketing campaign?!
MJCM replied to problemfarang's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
You can call them and ask them to change the SMS language to English! -
Same with my wife, my wife is calm itself, she is the real Buddha type, no kill animals (even a fly on Buddha days), after waking up listen to Monks, giving food to monks in the morning (waking up at 4am to do that and sometimes they don't walk past), go to etc etc So not hurting a fly, but when that company in our case called, she got real angry and even telling them to they are lying etc and please re-organize your business, treat your customers with some respect etc etc

May I ask do you live near the city or more outside? We live around 35km from Buriram City and at least 1 of them isn't any good where we live!

Just get the PEA app, I pay (via online banking) our PEA bill, my BIL's and our old house!. It shows up in the APP one day after the Meter reader has been!
