Using 3BB with Google DNS

Yeah I like it, and I don't have a problem with the wireless. In total I have approx. 8 devices (at the same time) connected to the wireless and they all can access the internet and do their normal stuff. And I only connected 2 of the antenna's, and for the price (2xxx Thb) you can't go wrong.
You could also consider the Asus-DSL N55U but that is around 4xxx Thb, I had one but the 2.4ghz refused to connect and only the 5ghz worked.
Edit : // Added Screenshot
Here a capture of this morning of the ADSL log, so you can see it works with TOT (the Y....@tothome is my userid for the TOT Network)
Ps: The time is off because the internet was not connected yet and could not sync the time with a Time Server

On this website http://www.lomprayah.com/e/contactus_bkk.htm
it list the price from BKK - Samui at 1450 THB and it leaves Bangkok at 21:00 and arrives at Koh Samui at 11:20
Please check with them before you travel !!
Good Luck
-
Please note that price is approx so it could be higher !!!
But to break that price down
60-80 Thb Taxi Hotel -> Pattaya Bus Station
130++ from Pattaya to BKK Bus station
150++ from BKK to Lomprayah Pick up point
1300++ From BKK to Koh Samui look at website from Lomprayah
If you need to be there at 2pm on Monday you should start on Saturday or at the latest early Sunday as it takes 14++ hours and there could be many delays.
If it was me I would leave on Friday just to be sure that I would arrive on time (but that's me)
Ps: Please note you have to call Lomprayah if there is availability on the route BKK -> Samui as it's approaching Holiday time (Songkran)
Their BKK branch is located here
and their contact details are here

Nope !!!
There was a ferry from Pattaya to Hua Hin that stopped long time ago (2-3 years) and was (not 100% sure) only running for approx 6 months
Ps: Website is still active
http://www.huahinmedia.com/huahinferry.php
-
You will first sit on a bus from BKK - Chumpon and then go onto the Ferry
The ferry is only 3 hours ++ as it leaves from Chumpon and first will arrive at Koh Tao then Koh Phangan and then Koh Samui.
If the weather is bad (rainy season ??) you will be in for a rough ride.
Ps: Maybe an alternative could be a train ride from Bkk- Surat Thani and then the Ferry to Samui ?

I have activated a couple cards this way already, my bank just asks me some questions
like dob etc etc and my Home phone number they also know, as I can change that via Internet Banking
Never had a problem even when activating and using my GSM and that number they didn't know.
The Picture was just an example, and how fedex will know, I also have no idea, but if the card is lost in transit, they are not responsible if the card is used.
But each time Fedex came to pickup the envelope they asked what is in it and if it was a ATM / Credit Card they always replied, "we can't send already activated cards"
-
Unfortunately times like this is when it pays to spend the extra money and have this type of mail (credit and ATM cards) sent by FEDEX
Same here, but please note that Fedex will NOT send a credit or ATM card if it's already activated.
You should ask your bank for a card that's not yet activated, but you will activate it via phone when it arrives.

Found this on their website however it's Thai only.

I found this info on the Apple Website about Hotspot

When you get your router, you need to setup your wireless Network.
Step 1) You will have to give a name to your network. This is called a SSID http://computer.howstuffworks.com/ssid.htm
Step 2) Then you need to setup the Security Mode of your Wireless Network, this is to prevent unauthorized access to your network
Read here more about the different security modes http://www.thegeekstuff.com/2008/08/6-steps-to-secure-your-home-wireless-network/
The weakest one is wep and the strongest is wpa2 (but note: some devices can't handle wpa2 and you can choose WPA)
Step 3) During the set up of the security mode of your Wireless network, you will then to set a Password. This password will be needed to connect all of your devices to the Wireless Network.
So when I connected my Ipad, Phones, Wireless Printer, Laptop etc etc etc I had to first select the SSID (from step 1) and then type in the password from Step 3, this I had to do in all of my wireless devices. So if you change the password from Step 3 in your Router, you will then again have to Enter that password in all of your Wireless devices that connect to your Wireless Network. (You only have to type the password once in every device)
Please Note all of the above is NOT necessary if you only connect devices via Ethernet.
As you can see at the moment I have 3 Wireless devices connect to my network.
Ps: About the hotspot connection, you maybe can ask this question in the Apple Forum

^ Wow that's confusing !!
So what is a perfect good 90 day Report date for one immigration office is not good for another.
But hey TiT
Ps: Just don't change back to the Pattaya / Jomtien immigration as you will be (maybe or not) reporting late

Isn't the password the Network Password of the access point (or router).
I have a Wireless Password set in my Router, and all Wireless devices (printer, phone, ipad etc etc) that want to connect to the network need that password
Ps: My Brother wireless printer can't connect to my wireless network if WPA2 is selected as Security Mode, that's why I use WPA.

Have a look around Nirun

I have a 8970 and it works fine with both Tot and 3bb.I bought the 8970 tp-link some months ago and couldnt get it to work with TOT.
According to TP-link and TOT it doesn't work with the Forth equipment TOT uses in their dslams.
Actually, tp-link doesn't have any gigabit adsl router that works with TOT.
At least not when i last asked about one month ago.

If you really wanna do it, I would first ask German Customs what they think about it, if they are fine with it, then start dealing with Thai Customs
Good Luck
Respect
-
Is that the car in your avatar you are thinking of taking to Germany ???
If so, it would be cheaper to buy one new in Germany (and also easier) then taking it with you
Sorry, but forget it
Respect
They are at least 30,000 Euroes 2nd hand in Germany, so I dont think shipping would cost that much?
Oke
What about transporting it from the Harbor (?? Hamburg ??? 500 Km ++ or Rotterdam ??? 400 Km ++) to the Nürburgring (remember your car ain't road legal)
what about damage during transport ?
what about delay ?
what about the time it will take ? single trip 4-6 weeks ?? excluding time at customs back in Germany (or Holland) and don't even wanna think about the time when it comes back into Thailand
Maybe I am wrong about this (and someone will come along shorty for sure to correct me
) but I think you better forget it !
-
My guess is that you have never been to Thailand correct ??
In answer to your question
1. 2 Months plus 30 days extension at immigration times 2 (so 60 + 30 * 2 = 180 Days) (add. after the 30 days extension you have to make a border run)
2. Where are you looking for these apts to rent ?
3. You will only get basic acco for that kind of money
4. This is Thailand and ATM's here only give out Thai Baht (except for some ATM's at the airport), the Exchange rate depends on which bank in your home country you use.
why is Thaivisa unusable lately

And the Pingdom http://stats.pingdom.com/2xfda9yuyew4/8141 response time stats don't mean anything for us here in Thailand because it states on their website
"Monitoring is done from Europe and North America" and I think most of the Thaivisa users are in ..... Se-Asia ??
