  1. I bought the 8970 tp-link some months ago and couldnt get it to work with TOT.

According to TP-link and TOT it doesn't work with the Forth equipment TOT uses in their dslams.

Actually, tp-link doesn't have any gigabit adsl router that works with TOT.

At least not when i last asked about one month ago.

I have a 8970 and it works fine with both Tot and 3bb.

  2. Is that the car in your avatar you are thinking of taking to Germany ???

If so, it would be cheaper to buy one new in Germany (and also easier) then taking it with you

    Sorry, but forget it

    Respect

They are at least 30,000 Euroes 2nd hand in Germany, so I dont think shipping would cost that much?

    Oke

What about transporting it from the Harbor (?? Hamburg ??? 500 Km ++ or Rotterdam ??? 400 Km ++) to the Nürburgring (remember your car ain't road legal)

what about damage during transport ?

    what about delay ?

what about the time it will take ? single trip 4-6 weeks ?? excluding time at customs back in Germany (or Holland) and don't even wanna think about the time when it comes back into Thailand

Maybe I am wrong about this (and someone will come along shorty for sure to correct me ;) ) but I think you better forget it !

    :wai:

  3. My guess is that you have never been to Thailand correct ??

    In answer to your question

    1. 2 Months plus 30 days extension at immigration times 2 (so 60 + 30 * 2 = 180 Days) (add. after the 30 days extension you have to make a border run)

    2. Where are you looking for these apts to rent ?

    3. You will only get basic acco for that kind of money

    4. This is Thailand and ATM's here only give out Thai Baht (except for some ATM's at the airport), the Exchange rate depends on which bank in your home country you use.

  4. Actually we Songkran refuseniks will be enjoying ourselves in quite a variety of other special ways. The initial preparation is a bit of a bother, but thereafter it can be quite a nice holiday. I'm quite looking forward to it: you see, I don't normally treat myself nearly so well. smile.png

Yes sir! Get the fridge stocked up with all those lovely foods we normally pass up. Make Songkran a special treat. Can't wait!

I've started stockpiling already! Oooh, the liquor cabinet. Hard not start in on that single malt I bought today. Thinking to end on the night of the 19th w/ champagne.

Will post a reminder later for the membership.

For me also the Songkran preparations have started, the wifey went back to the Village this morning and is not coming back until Songkran has finished. violin.gif

  5. Even when you did not put in the username and password but you put in the adsl settings, adsl should connect and should stay stable on.

    Modem doa ?

Ps: Can you paste the messages under System Tools - System Log. ?

I am not sure if you have this as I am using a TpLink TD-W8970

  6. No I don't use this, I use Expattv to watch UK TV https://www.thaiexpat.tv/index.php but you have to connect your PC to the TV to watch it, or buy the Android Box,

Ps: And No I am not affiliated or work for them

PsPs: If I was you I would try the Smart DNS solution for a month to see if it suits you, I used Hola (https://hola.org/ (which is free)) before, but I didn't like the buffering, for example watching 5 minutes and then followed by 2-3 minutes of buffering.

  7. ^ Yeah, fortunately they only bundle Chrome and not some Toolbar like Ask which can be a pain to remove.

But strange that you didn't see the option when installing to "not include" Chrome, but those options are easily overlooked

  8. The list given in message #2 is what I used to give at Jomtien Immigration, but things are changing: at my last 90-Days-Report the officier printed an new TM.47 form - prefilled and with a barcode - and told me that for next reports I will not need any document other than my passport and this form that she staple at the end of my passport. smile.png

That must be a very recent thing, as i did my last 90 day just 2 weeks ago and i still have the 90 day "old style" with no barcode in my passport

  9. 6 may be needed for first report, but I've never been asked to show it for subsequent reports in Bangkok. Maybe ubonjoe can clarify.

I seem to recall that it was on the list in Pattaya / Jomtien immigration (as this is where the OP and myself report) and as always with immigration "the more the better", or what would you prefer have more documents with you then needed or be sent away to get more documents?

Ps: And dont forget different immigration offices have different requirements ;)
