  1. I am running CCleaner 4.05

There is no option about Chrome extensions

but also there is no option about Firefox extensions

and they are certainly no deleted

Sounds like a bug to me

Have you checked the CCleaner site for a forum

or somewhere to report this behaviour?

Astral, the current version of Ccleaner is 4.12.

That bug of Ccleaner removing extensions was fixed in v 4.10

  2. I googled it and looked at the wiki page.

Now can anyone explain to a lay person in simple terms what it it and how best to protect oneself?

    thanks

In short, normally when you go to a secure site all data you and the site sends is encrypted which means that someone else cant read the data that is being sent or received.

Very Basic Example. Hacker sends the text "HELLO", normally the secure site should also send back "HELLO" but because of this bug, the secure site sends "HELLO and a lot of random data, this could be email address, password, user id, bank account number etc etc" <- This will be in total 64Kb of data the server sends back.

    What you can do yourself.

Basically nothing, as its the secure sites responsibility to update their software and their server certificates.

  3. But be warned, the whole of Jomtieski is going to be a particularly noisy place for the next few years!

    Care to elaborate ?

He already did, did you not notice the ski after Jomtien?

It's all turning Russian, did you notice all the real estate agents in Central? Russians man, this tells you a lot about the customers.

I think he also meant that there is a huge amount of condominiums being build in Jomtien and if you buy one then you will almost fell like you are in Moscow expect for the weather off-course.

Even here in Banglamung I once went to a restaurant on Naklua road and was presented with a Russian menu card and asked for an English one, sorry mister we don't have, I walked without eating anything.

Understood, yes I know about ski ;)

But i seem to recollect that Lennyw has something to do with property, so maybe he has some inside info, so thats the only reason why I asked.

  6. Going into Pattaya at 8 pm tonight by bus heavy action.

When do they normally stop in the evenings , is it safe after 10 pm ?

It can be, but also it may not. ;)

Just stay away from Bar area's (like Soi buakhao, Soi 3-4-6-7-8 etc) and you have a decent chance to stay dry

  7. Hotmail have started that mobile phone authentication step too recently. If you decline that and try to use another Hotmail account to authenticate, it causes all sorts of problems.

Yes even some of Microsoft's paid subscriptions use a one time password sent via SMS for the 2nd factor.

The problem I have had, at least with AIS, is that the SMS they send may or may not be delivered to my phone. It can take several attempts.

Why not use a Authenticator App to receive your keys if you have so much trouble receiving SMS ?
