  1. No Problem, but it's always a good idea after you finish in the internet cafe to clear the browsing history / cookies. You would be surprised how much info can be retrieved only from looking at these !

  2. Thanks George, but can I do that on an IT cafe computer? Also, where do I go to delete them ( I'm by no means a computer expert )?

It depends which browser they have in a Internet Cafe.

Firefox - Tools, Privacy, Show Cookies, Remove All Cookies

Internet Explorer - Tools , Internet Options, General, Delete (under browsing history)

I hope another member can you tell you to do this in Chrome and/or Opera

  3. Hi,

Last year moxtravel http://www.moxtravel.com/ offered the opportunity to make a booking and give a document to show at the embassy and pay only on the condition that a visum is allowed.

I think Any travel agent will do it for you if you ask them. Nothing special about that, its the same with the travel insurance.

  5. Question would be, which kind of Visa ?

My friend is flying with his wife to the Netherlands. She applied for a Tourist Visa on Wednesday and received her passport with the Visa back on Tuesday the following week.

It's always wise to apply for the visa well before you are planning to go.

When she applies for the Visa she needs to show a (Pre-Booked) Reservation ticket for Airline (Need to show exact date when you are leaving)

(My friends Ticket date showed that she was leaving on the 27th, and the visa was issued with from date on the 26th)

Regarding the cost for changing date, it depends on the Airline and the Ticket class, my friends ticket is Date Change free of Charge, but that is with China Airlines. My advice would be, contact your preferred airline

edit: // Added Info about the Visa

  6. You must apply at the office serving your location - you enter that location the the TM.7 application. And they may also request other proof to support that entry.

Thank you. But presumably you can enter any location you want even if you are only there for a few days as there is no mention of proof being required in the official requirements. It seems that some offices may decide they want it regardless and there is no point in arguing the case. If you are retired and changing locations frequently then you have no residence to declare.

Somo, don't forget about the 90 Day reports, which have to be made to the Office where you applied (mail in possible ??) and they may require a Proof of Address. (How are you going to deal with that, if you don't live in the region ??)

If you are so desperate to do this, why don't you get a Multiple Entry Non-O visa outside of Thailand and you don't even have to go inside or near any of the Immigration Offices.

  7. if she comes in to Thailand with a 30 Days Visa on Arrival (VOA), this VOA can be extended 1 time only for 7 Days at a Local Immigration Office for a Fee of 1900 THB.

If she wants to stay longer (after the 30 days are finished), she either

1- Leave Thailand by Land to a neighboring country and get when coming back 15 days on Entry

2- Leave Thailand and return by Air and get when coming back 30 Days on Entry

3- Leave Thailand, Visit a Thai Consulate (Vientiane or Savannakhet (both in Laos) or somewhere else) and get a double or a single Tourist Entry.

Re: Rules and Conditions in the Consideration of Alien Applications for Temporary Stay in the Kingdom of Thailand

2.22 In the case of a retiree: Permission will be granted for a period of not more

than 1 year at a time.

    (1) The alien has obtained a temporary visa (NON-IM);

    (2) The applicant is 50 years of age or over;

    (3) Proof of income of not less than Baht 65,000 per month; or

    (4) Account deposit with a bank in Thailand of not less than

800,000 Baht as shown in the bank account for the past 3 months at the filing date of the application. For the first year, the applicant should have that amount in his bank account for not less than 60 days or

    (5) Annual income plus bank account deposit totaling not less

than Baht 800,000 as of the filing date of application

The proof of address it doesn't hurt when applying to have a copy (or 2) with you, as they may ask if you rent or own, so a lease / chanote could also come in handy !

That's great thank you. So it would appear I can apply at any office of my choosing.

I am not 100% sure, better wait for one of the Moderators (Mario2008, Lopburi3 or LiteBeer) to answer this.

  10. And also please note that Immigration will try to steer you to get the Retirement Extension instead of the Marriage One.

The reason being that the Marriage extension is not (alone) a local decision and means a lot more paper work for you and them. Plus this one can take up to 30 days (or more), while with the retirement one you get the decision the same or the next day !!

  11. Did not check the posted date calculators but most of them do not count the first day which is required when figuring 90 day reports.

True but because you have the 14 before and 7 days after, you will with these tools get very close to the actual 90 day report date. And these are just handy tools and are of course not perfect.

    Edit: // Added Ps

Ps: And instead of adding 90 Days just add 89 Days and you are completely safe thumbsup.gif

  12. Oke, can you check in your iPhone under

    - Settings, Privacy, Photos. If Thaivisa Connect ... is set to On ?

Just checked and thaivisa was set to on

Then sorry, but I am out of options or things to advice.

I don't know if it matters, but I am only at 1% of Quota.
