  1. No idea, where to exchange, but to answer your other question what it costs to buy £1,

At SCB you pay 48.0075 THB for 1 GBP, while exchanging 1 GBP gives you 46.335 THB

Other banks will have marginal better or worse rates

    Edit: //

A quick search came up with the answer to your other question

Bank Gold in Soi Rungland off Pattaya Tai, i know the name says "bank" but's not a bank as such - always been the best around here.

  2. ^ It appears that you have a Multiple Entry Visa which you got at a Consulate or Embassy outside of Thailand.

Each entry (into Thailand) is good for 90 Days in total, so after 90 Days in Thailand you have to go outside of Thailand and re-enter. You can do this multiple (M) times until 17-1-2014

You do not need to do 90 Day Reports.

You only need to do 90 Day Reports if you got a Extension of Stay at your Local (friendly) immigration office

    Edit: //

And No you do not need a Re-Entry Permit, as a Re-Entry Permit is only necessary if you have an Extension of Stay issued by your local (Thai) immigration Office

  3. If you had not used the unit for awhile (say 1 week) it may take longer to re-aquire the satellites. Not really sure if this is true with modern units but it sure was with the earlier models. The ephemeris data which describes the orbit of the satellite used to be valid for 7 days before a new one was required. Without accurate ephemeris data the receiver will take a while to aquire a position solution.

Interesting... We had a signal all the way from Lopburi to Jomtien the day before. Do you know if it searches for different ephemeris data upon power up from different distant locations? Is more than one satellite involved?

    Maybe this helps:
