It helps if you tell people where you are, as Sukhumvit is a very long road, and covers a couple of provinces.

Are there VISA runs from Koh Chang to Hat Lek? how long is it and about how much? Does anyone have any recommendations?
I have no idea if there are visa run companies (maybe you can ask any Travel Agent, I bet they can arrange something)
But you easily can do it yourself, just head yourself to the Trat Bus Station (early morning), and get a Mini Bus from there to the border. (1-1.5 hr Trip)
Stamp out of Thailand, enter Cambodia (pay for Visa and maybe something extra because you are not staying) exit Cambodia, and enter back into Thailand.
PS: When you do this, don't forget to bring some extra Passport Photos and copies of Passport Face Page (just in case)

You may want to think about Pong Nam Ron
Pong Nam Ron is (I think) more difficult to get to then the Trat - Hat Lek (Border) route.
As from the Trat bus station minibuses leave every 30-60 mins (during daytime) for the border.

Overstay is never a wise thing to do, and especially while traveling as there could be many police checkpoints that want to see his passport.
Before his next one runs out he could go to any Immigration office to get a 7 Days extension but will cost him 1900 THB.
-
Because he is so close to a border, I would advice him to do 2 border Runs. This is easier and cheaper then getting a Tourist Visa. Tell him next time get a Double Entry Tourist Visa.

Buy this, even 7/11 carries it. It's a chalk stick and mark everywhere where you see ants walking .
And also mark the legs of the bed. The ants don't like it and won't be back
here another version if the staff in the 7/11 doesn't know this

Just buy a cheap 4 port switch. Plug the router and 2 pcs in. Job done.
Wot he said...
This helps a lot as the OP asked "How can I identify the type of router to purchase"
-
I think picture will be of assistance (Looking out for Nr 1 & 2 and the 2 ports next to it)
Keyword to look for on the back of router would be: Ethernet, Lan

Allow via Noscript "ajax.googleapis.com"

Question are you using the Firefox add-on "Noscript" ??
Check under Tools - Addons
Ps: Can you post a Screenshot of what you are seeing ?

The best thing what you can do, is to use Google with the Brand Name and the Model name, (example) LG 32CS460, that will give you many links.
Then click on (example): http://www.lg.com/us...-32CS460-lcd-tv
Then you click on the page: "Technical Specs ..." and then look if there if the TV is able to connect to Internet. Look for things like, Ethernet, Internet, Wireless, Youtube etc etc, and if you are not sure, just post the link and we can have a look !
Good Luck

You are right, but strange that they announce it that way.
2012.30 has "3/4" of the page and then there comes 2012.40 as a side note.
-
The page still mentions version 2012.30, but that is a Typo !

Do the Samsung Galaxies have a similar "black box"?

@Jayman.
I think when a ToT Engineer is referring to a Black Modem, he is thinking that the customer has a Thomson Speedtouch. These modem were handed out (long ago ) by ToT to customers.
Ok.. but that's not the black modem that TOT handed me several years ago. that is why jist refering to stuff as black and white is a bit silly don't you think. <deleted>, the model number for all electronics can be found printed on a sticker affixed to the device. Just because we live in Thailand doesn't mean we have to behave like Thais.
I agree !!
BTW They handed me the Thomson ST536 v6

Good to hear that it all worked out, and no problem in having 2 modems (I have 3 ) just in case you have a problem again you can check if it is the modem by plugging the new one in.
Edit: //
Which modem did you buy ?? Is it capable of ADSL2+ ?

Monty,
do you know if this works the same for SCB ??

The Apple TV might be the perfect media center for the average tech connected home. It's tiny, it's powerful, but unfortunately when it comes to streaming video, it's useless. Sure it does some stuff with video, you can hook into a computer running iTunes and play movies, and you can buy movies and TV Shows, but good luck playing anything you own not purchased via iTunes. Oh, you decided to rent an HD movie from Apple tonight? I hope you planned ahead because it's probably going to take three or four hours to download.

Which is it Word or Yahoo, as I don't know I tried them both.
Yahoo indeed pasting doesn't work anymore so that leaves send the Picture as Attachment only
Word Pasting a picture does work for me.
Edit: //
After I opened the Picture in my Favorite program (Irfanview) and selected copy, I could paste it in my Yahoo Email.
