I got my 3bb box out of its box and connected it up this would be the same for an android box the blue cable goes to your 3bb router and the right black cable is the HDMI cable which connects to your TV

Telewiz Phichit 056 650 999 https://maps.app.goo.gl/gYLFHFviwoeiJY1VA?g_st=ic just typed into Google “AIS PHICHIT”

I am looking at your opening post and there it mentions some programs (streaming??) I have no idea when you get the 3Bb TV box if you can install those programs (for streaming) on there or even on your TV. Another idea would be that you buy an android box which you connect with a Ethernet cable (supplied with the Router) to the 3BB router and then via a HDMI cable to your TV. Not getting the 3BB TV box subscription will save you a bit of money every month as well. I have no idea about the Android boxes or what to buy.

They will come and install / test everything. If they charge your extra for a Better Router, just decline and get the standard router, and after that buy your own one (if you want to). I just got the standard 3BB router but bought a better ASUS router which has much stronger WIFI for example. The one from 3BB (wifi) barely covers the house.

@Mutt Daeng Here is how it should look in the ASUS after they set your 3BB router in Bridge mode, that password they WILL NOT give me
-
I have the same router. That password on the back of the router is for the admin account on the 192.x.x.x ip address of the 3BB Router and not for PPoE. To enable Bridge mode you need a Username and a Password for their network, which IS Not the password on the back of the router. You then go into your ASUS router, goto the WAN page, select Internet connection, set WAN connection to PPOE and then there you need a UserName and Password. That Username and Password they will not give me That username and Password you will see in your 3BB Router under WAN - Wan Configuration - click your Internet connection name and then you will see USERNAME and Pwd (username as you can see is in cleartext but the PWD not and it's not as printed on the back of the router)

PEA found out meter is spinning backward
MJCM replied to eddysacc's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Doubt that is going to happen for example with all those companies installing Solar. For example the Toyota dealer near the Stadium is installing a .... load of Solar Panels at the moment. Edit: And IMHO that would be a dumb move if the government goes that far, everywhere they are trying to go green but of course TiT -

How? Edit: do you mean no export? So having a grid connection but your Solar is set to No Export? -

PEA found out meter is spinning backward
MJCM replied to eddysacc's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
That is a good tip ???? For the OP, we had PEA come by and take pictures of our solar panels. But this is now a month ago and nothing has changed. We still have the same old meter (that is spinning backwards) but at the time they visited the meter wasn't spinning backwards (maybe that is what saved us) Have a look here: -

@Crossy has posted that there are reports that (some??) NEW Electric Meters will charge for electricity feed into the grid. Edit: I have no idea if you can see on those (when you check) if you are being charged for exported energy. You will (maybe) only find that out on your Monthly BILL -
I believe the MAX charge is 49 THB per day if the OP forgets to turn it off. But you will get "warning" sms after a certain usage.

Also it could be that you are paying for Feeding Electricity in the Grid. Just check your meter and if your BILL is higher (read: More Units) then STOP FEEDING into the GRID! -
No need for an extra sim. Internet is on top. Just goto an AIS Shop and they will give you the best Deal. We have 100GiB per month for 18xx THB per year, that is way too much but they have other packages. Edit: Have a look here what is on offer https://www.ais.th/package/en/package_net_non_stop.html

When does the burn ban start and end in Thailand?
MJCM replied to CALSinCM's topic in General Topics
The village chief was talking about the ban during his morning "lecture" on the Village Speaker system just this morning (according to my wife) and while he was still talking someone set fire to his field. So that is the BAN for you -
Multi entry non o - can extend 30 days?
MJCM replied to Leveraged's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
3 to 4 days overstay at 500 THB a day = 2000 THB, I have no idea where you are but how much will you save? And don't get checked / caught on the way to the Airport then you will regret that you have overstayed -
You are lucky I asked them several times and they did not want to do it, NO idea why but NO issues. I just use Double NAT 3BB IP Range 192.168.x.x Asus (and all other devices on my Network) IP range 10.x.x.x

I have 1000/500 but only getting something like 400/200 (which is fine by me). But first those figures (so the 1000/500) are speeds WITHIN Thailand ONLY). With that 400/200 I can 1 - download Files from my Server in Europe 2 - Stream Netflix / Hbo / Disney Hotstar without any buffering 3 - Upload files to my OneDrive / Google Drive / iCloud 4 - Backup our Phones to the Cloud 5 - Download Apps on my PC / Phones etc etc And for me personally I don't care how long it takes for # 1,3,4 and 5 to complete as I turn it on and go and do something else and usually when I come back to the PC it's done. If Budget allows go for the 1000/500 (but again SPEED guaranteed to their Servers within THAILAND) and you can always Downgrade if it is too much ???? (also don't forget change a package is AFAIK a new contract so you are then again committed to the 1 or 2 year period (But I could be wrong about this)
-
I can recall that Disney Hotstar only works via the Internet Browser on our Samsung Smart TV (< 2 years old) maybe they improved it but since I switched to an Apple TV haven't tested it again.

@Mutt Daeng Forgot to add. I am using the 3BB router ONLY for getting the Fiber in. Everything else is done with a separate ASUS Router so for example Wifi is turned off in the 3BB router the Asus handles that. I asked them to put the 3BB router in Bridge (or as they say Bit) mode but they wouldn't do that. These are my ASUS routers. https://www.invadeit.co.th/product/wireless-networking/asus/aimesh-ac1900-dual-band-gigabit-wi-fi-system-rt-ac68u-2-pack-p066016/

Thx,. But they have come by very often especially during the rice harvest as they (3BB) hung the cable a bit low and the rice harvester snapped the cable a couple of times already, but we asked and there is nothing they can do, because we are 5km+ from their closest box which services another area, (and it's for them not worthwhile to install a box here as I am the only user in the Area) they already warned us for the slower speed that before they even installed it, but I couldn't care less because the alternative (4G) would be even worse. This is a new Build and all of the cabling is Cat 6 ????

That 499 THB is a promotion (1st March - 31st March) normally it's 799 THB. But it was not exactly free but it's part of the 100GiB a Month Internet package (18xx THB per year). And as we (my wife and myself) both have that we have given access to the daughter and we also have one (you login with your Phone Number from AIS)

Honda Civic EL. How to leave in neutral?
MJCM replied to Andyfez's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
My car (not a Honda) has a slot near/next to the P and when insert your key into it you are able to put your Car into N after you have turned off your engine (and put your car into P ???? ) Maybe your car has the same? Edit: Found a Video on YT on approx what to do (in our car we have to insert the key into a slot) -
An Android Box! Problem AFAIK with a Smart TV is that you can't (side)load any apps from some streaming services and you get around that problem with an Android box. No idea which one to buy as I haven't used them in a long while
-
Do you know that 3BB service your area? Have you checked that? In my area they did not service but after a lot of waiting (4 months++) and nagging and then paying a substantial amount they agreed to pull a cable from their nearest box (which is well over 5kms away). No other options are available here, No True, No AIS Fiber. I pay for 1000/500 but max speed I am getting is 3-400, but I am not complaining because my other option would be 4G ???? Edit: If it's better or not, you unfortunately have to find out, but I have no issues with Streaming Netflix, HBO (free from 3BB) and Disney Hotstar (free from AIS)
