When I last renewed my Passport at the BKK embassy (almost 10 years ago). The embassy staff asked me 2 questions 1- Do you want the Letter for Immigration to change Passports 2- Do you want a Business Passport (difference between a Business and a normal passport is that the Business one has double the amount of pages for the same amount) So I said, Yes and Yes. Got the New passport, went to Immigration gave them BOTH passports (OLD and NEW) and the Letter and the stamps were transferred within 20 minutes or so. Now, as my passport is expiring I am not going to the Embassy but I am flying back to my Home Country for Summer and change the passports there. In my Home Country they will NOT give me the Letter for Immigration (as they have no CLUE) but upon entering at BKK airport I will hand over BOTH passports (Re-Entry Permit in OLD passport) and they will then stamp me in in my NEW passport. I will then again go to Immigration and they will then transfer the Stamps. So, renewal Passport WITHIN Thailand, GET the Letter from the Embassy (or other issuing authority). Renewal Passport OUTSIDE Thailand, carry BOTH passports and show them when Entering Thailand.

Don’t ask. Just give it to them and see if they refuse. I did my extension (almost 2 weeks ago) and TM7 printed (in black) was accepted. (Of course TiT) but do make sure that you print the form on 1 page (front and back) and NOT 2 different pages

2 weeks ago (almost) retirement extension Buriram IO (new building), printed TM7 (in black) (1 page front and back) and accepted no issue. Funny note, the reason you have to type, I am still using the same one which I used when I was still on Marriage extensions

Just wondering, did the PEA also replace your meter as they did with @Bandersnatch because they thought it was faulty (showed zero units months on end)?

Do type 2 Diabetes also use Inject Insulin? I thought that was for Type 1 only

You don't have to, because do you ever get a PEA Bill with a higher usage then 1?? Edit: The Guys (who export) they must because else we will get on of those non back spinning Meters

And I thought you where the one with the detailed record keeping I (read: SWMBO ???? ) walk daily (in the morning) to the Meter and record the Meter (it's only a distance of 50+ meter) Some other interesting facts (maybe it only applies to our area) - The meter reader changes area every 3 months. - Some come very early in the morning (like 6:15am) others leave it till 11 or even after 12

This was the discount of the Ft. This was only for the periods Sept - Oct 2022 Oct - Nov 2022 Nov - Dec 2022 After that (thus period Dec - Jan 2023) everyone pays the FULL amount of 0,9343 THB per Unit surcharge. The only discount you NOW get is approx 12 THB which is discount on the standard service charge which is for a 15/45, 30/100 Meter 38.22 THB and for a 5/15 Meter 8.19 THB, the latter doesn't get the discount.

Same here in Buriram. 1 Bill per month, 12 Bills per year When the meter man visits depends here on how many days the month has if month has 31 days then he comes on the 16th if month has 30 days then he comes on the 15th I am not sure for Feb but SWMBO says he comes then on the 13th.

I always used a Printed Copy (saved in my PC and only change the date) for our IO (Buriram) and has always been accepted, but it's correct what you wrote TiT. Just in case the IO doesn't accept the Printed copy, DON'T glue the Picture to the form but wait until the IO accepts the Form and then attach the picture.

They only get free Electricity if they use LESS then 50 Units per months for 3 months in a row. Have you ever tried to live on less on 50 units per month. I give you an example how much that is one light 24x7 = 12 units already, thus only 38 units remaining inclu any fans or any other lights or a water heater and rice cooker etc etc. Rice Cooker and water heater use a lot of electric and what about Fans in the Hot Summer months.

Yep I remember those. I also remember that my Mother always did the washing late at night or very early morning. I often asked her (when I got ready for going to school and she was doing to washing) can't you sleep, but much later on I understood why she did it at those times ????

As @Lite Beer already said letter that has your balance on the day. you need both letters (get them same time at your bank) they cost approximately 100 THB each. 2 more things 1- before going to the bank, transfer money into your account so that the balance is updated in your bank book (bank book updated you also need) 2- balance from 3 month statement is NOT from today but from yesterday that is normal.

Totally depends on the airline AFAIK, some can't even be bothered to hand out the vouchers for that. But I have no idea if just showing your Boarding Pass will get you also through Fast Track

Residency I believe will get you a Thai Passport and that takes a lot more then being married

I fill it on my pc and keep it there, when extension date comes up I just change the date and print it out. has always been accepted

A friend of mine was called to IO approx 2-3 weeks in the consideration period to supply additional info (bank letters). His guess was that the Immigration misplaced his bank papers as the > 400k was in the account long enough. Final Stamp was given about 1,5 weeks later.

Your IO didn't check, but who knows if the Regional HQ checks? Because there your application is send to, the decision is with them and NOT your local IO. And that is why you have the under consideration period which can take up to 1 month. (This is for extension based on Marriage)
