Thais like to take short cuts on the road, example crossing the yellow line on a corner, or coming over into your lane right next to you as you both go around a bend. It is crazy here yet if you live here long enough you know how it is and what to expect. I do remember traveling in India, the rule was if the vehicle is bigger than you, they have the right of way. On an 14hour bus journey, the driver would stop every so often, jump out at a roadside shrine and do a prayer, while I was in the back of the bus doing a prayer to every god under the sun.

Better to require all tourists to have medical Travel Insurance and include in the insurance medical cover for evacuation back to home country. This would insure no cost to Thailand and safe guard tourists, a win win.

You say your wife is Thai, so not a problem as she is not foreign in Thailand. Instead of asking on here if she can get a job, just go to a hospital of her choice and ask/apply easy and then you will have the answer to your question.

1) Yes, I read everything and assume most people on here did so they could answer. 2) She said she got permission which may be true yet have not heard the owner comment to the media with their version. So only her version. 3) maybe another nationality, but why you think that and where is the proof? 4) She is in Thailand and so it is a very good bet that she was referring to Thailand. 5) out of interest what country has Israel money built? I know there is many countries that Israel money has destroyed.

The owner has not commented, will be interesting when they do, yet I think it is more about her comment "my money built Thailand". As for your comment about businesses being more flexible in real life, I would disagree, it is more a case of not wanting to confront the person. As a person who lives here I know reading a Thai persons thoughts compared to what they say is an art and a tourist may not have that skill.
