  1. It would be interesting to hear the cafe owners comment on this, am sure it will pop up on Thai news
  2. wrong, Thais do not like shoes being worn inside the house, if a shop, cafe etc... has a sign asking you to take of your shoes then people will respect their request. If you do not follow the request, then they may not say anything as they do not like confrontation yet will not be happy. When you visit another country, respect their culture, very easy to do, do not stoop to “I have more money than you comment” just makes you look very stupid and is insulting. As for being targeted for being Jewish, one called say she targeted the cafe workers because they are Thai and she thinks she is superior than them.

  7. In the UK, when my daughter was at university, she shared a house with 4 other friends all uni students. All had to get credit checks, and all parents had to act as a guarantor for their child renting the house, so we as parents were legally liable to pay for damage or loss rent.
  8. I think you will loose that bet, O’Leary likes to bluff and is very good at getting free publicity for the airline. Yet he would not hesitate to buy from China if his airline is threaten, plus China is known for wanting to compete with boeing and airbus and they have the capability to do so with fast production. Look at their rail projects, ev-cars, space craft, Ai, super computers, etc.. They are a manufacturing giant in all most everything.
  9. Just be careful as snakes can move very fast. You do not want to be bitten by a cobra. I have caught a few snakes with a 2.5m pole and lasso and release them back into the wild, cobra's included.

  16. With covid, it pushed many people to cashless payment. Payment via card or phone is becoming more common the world over, it is also in the interest of the business as banks charge companies for handling cash when paid by the company into their own account. I recall the bank use to charge me for the deposit slip as well as the cash I deposited into the account. I am very happy to accept cashless payments as I save a lot in fees. Also happy to take cash, best to offer all ways to pay.
  17. When faced with a snake especially a viper or cobra, I can assure you they are fast and not that easy to kill from my experience and I would not be using a short handle machete or sickle.
  18. maybe not for you, after watching the many videos about being a youtuber you still do not know if you can use a mobile to make videos for youtube. Heads up you can. Goonzquad are two american brothers who repair cars and they film using iphones, over 2.7m followers just on youtube, and have become millionaires.
  19. No common sense in the USA, 21% of adults in the US are illiterate in 2024. 54% of adults have a literacy below a 6th-grade level (20% are below 5th-grade level). From the National Literacy Institute.
  20. True, with the small amount of calls to landlines (banks, Tax man etc) I would not go with Vonage. I have started using Viber and it is very good reception and no problems with the line connection (mobile to landline in the UK).
  21. yes please start on Tesla and musk, then look at the insider trading that happen in the whitehouse yesterday.
  22. Then you do not understand the Chinese economy. Yes China debt is very high but the debt is differant fron the USA. China debt is mostly domestic, banks, local goverments property market and based on the Yuan(china mostly borrows in Yuan) and can be controlled by the goverment decisions are fast unlike usa who have trouble passing budgets. USA debt is dollar based and part of the global system, if yields spike, debt service costs go up, treasury demand drops the dollar slides. Need to look at what the debt is funding as well for both countries. USA debt is war, tax cuts for the rich, stock buybacks and social debt. China is infrastructure, industrial, R&D and property market
