No-one likes speed cameras....especially the cops. I just creates too much work for them... Over 1.5 mio speeders failed to pay their fines a couple of years ago....it soon stopped.

The tourists very likely have a good sense of personal safety....train the Thai drivers, street workers and contractors...the pit falls are Thai related. Don't tell tourists they must use zebra crossings...that'll kill them. Tell tourists not to ride bicycles, the drivers will kill them. Tell tourist not to argue with Thais, a gun may be drawn!

I have quite a degree of faith in this guy, Chadchart. He's very well educated, has an understanding of the issues at stake and being non military, is a bonus. I hope he does well!
