    And just how did you quantify being "not very impressed by the quality of the professors."?....Research paper publications, student excellence qualities, language mastery??

    There very likely is no standard at all for these public vessels....the only regulation is that they carry lifejackets...and even these devices are the cheapest bits of Chinese junk. Very likely also is that many of these vessels carry no insurance...are these vessels even insurable? Unfortunately as always....backhanders solve all issues!

    The constant rotation of Immigration bosses is done to ensure that the "good" guys, get the opportunity to stack their retirement funding. Is there an honest Immigration chief (or any staff), at any of the dozens of offices nationwide?

    Why does this even make the news? Everyone recognizes that the management of Phuket and the services there, are controlled by only a few....encroachment of these services is forbidden. Surprising that these few drivers have not been beaten up for their sins!

    Hit and run is almost the norm in Thailand...a daily occurrence several times each day. Practically accepted by all. This lady has found out the US is different!

    They mentioned that "scaffolding" on the first floor....seems a concrete pour was happening...so the formwork set up would have been there for a couple of days......
