  1. Yes, known as a coalition of all the losers! Hardly seems democratic.... multi party democracy has it's limits!
  2. Not sure where they are in this case, I have never used one in that mall and have been going there for 15 or more years. Possibly BigC and/or Homepro have some at the back for their own use.
  3. I am not a convicted criminal who evaded justice for 15 years. Let us say he is a public figure who has been convicted of several crimes, I am not sure he is entitled to the privacy of a monk. Justice needs to be seen to be done.... or not. We don't need to see any endoscope recordings, a few statements simply..

Can't say I ever got a smell of chlorine from the utility water.... haven't tested it for a good while. I do actually put a very small amount of my pool chlorine into the tank once a week.

No I have the big bottles delivered... they might claim it is 'Spring Water' on the bottle but I suspect it is simply filtered.... no issues over many years.

Personally only use water from the large 19L bottles, which is filtered. My tap water comes from an above ground tank and always consider critters can get in there and drown then rot..
  7. Yes it is meat but served over rice, usually steamed. Rice is not part of the Phat Kraphao,
  8. I don't know why it wasn't raised at the same time the Chinese matter was being raised... nevertheless it is now being considered... well at least some commentary on Asean Now was posted.
  9. Never knew they offered that service there... bit of a bxxx-ache to get the sofa up the escalator I expect!
  10. So is the sensible solution to put all my money into my Thai wife's account before 1st January, and get a monthly allowance from her... or maybe a bi-monthly if the law requires it.
  11. My weight goes up when I carry a case of beer too.
  12. Yes and the few hundred k to underpin my credit card. I know quite a few expats, mostly living away from the bright lights, who simply could not afford any tax burden.
  13. Double the administration and morning after loss of production.......
  14. Perhaps some balance with higher tax on luxury or high value items, gold included... essentials like food zero rated?
  15. Correct... nobody wants to overrule the long-held, tried and tested traditions of cronyism and nepotism.
  16. My Mrs has a nephew who decided to become an ex-policeman as the tide is constant and never ending......
  17. I thought one only had to spend over 179 days in country a year to be a tax resident.
  18. At 36 dead this morning. I thought it was the news of taxing foreigners that was weakening the baht, caused a 1% drop. So not popular with markets.
  19. Yep, shooting out lights will be fun for the yobs who usually hang around looking for a fight.
  20. Yah yah... cottage cheese and cress...????
