  1. And this guy appears to need far more than most!
  2. No no no, rubbing together of sweaty palms in anticipation of easy money pouring in is what they do best!
  3. And if you are up for the adventure... take the bus from Pattaya North Rd (Reung Ruen) bus station to Bangkok Moechit, and regular services from there to Korat......you can get lost in Moechit though if not familiar!
  4. There is a store in the old Tesco Mall on North Rd, pretty much opposite City Hall https://goo.gl/maps/FPYNpW5QFXEgTrDc8 Online service is another option, https://www.decathlon.co.th/en
  5. Need a shirt with a pocket to put a pen in... but many turn up there without even a pen in their beachwear!
  6. Nakhonchai Air bus station on Sukhumvit just South of Klang Junction... look for website for timings but you may have to go there to get a ticket anyhow. https://goo.gl/maps/U9pN2atuCqNA3gL66 There is another on 3rd Rd, North of Klang again.....(oops, that appears to have gone)...
  7. And at least another 30% are playing on their phones?
  8. I remember seeing the buses lined up, being sold off at a dealer's located on Sukhumvit at the top of Threppasit.
  9. As per the elderly bedridden Thai forced to attend a government office to renew ID in the news lately?
  10. Dubai I think.......
  11. Well if he can say awake unlike his fellow and younger colleague, maybe he can do some good.....
  12. You would think it easy to find construction companies around here who have a lot of experience digging holes and then leaving them!
  13. A rather aged man who has been around forever.... Thailand struggles to break away from its old ways. I was hoping for younger blood. Progress of a sort I suppose.
  14. Not so well. What I thought was the start of it, was widening on the single track embankment near me north of town.......that sort of went on for a while then stopped and nothing seen since......
  15. Not much capacity there to run around all day... I just have reservations about these gas conversions here. Diesel engines don't convert so well.
  16. I believe it was an NGV bus.... it certainly burned rather well. Also there was passengers and a driver on it!
  17. Sometimes yes I have... more so when I spent more time on my motorbike waiting at lights. My own pickup doesn't spew out smoke... but I certainly see plenty of others doing that usually pickups being over-revved.
  18. This was a close call.. Would it not make sense to skip LPG and go electric..
  19. I thought perhaps some optimism about the domestic political future was helping lift the baht.
  20. Aren't baht busses just pickups?
  21. Topic isn't about taxis......read the OP!
  22. They have boots... baht buses do not. Where is the tank (s) located? Minivans sure are safe... https://www.thaiexaminer.com/thai-news-foreigners/2023/01/22/fiery-death-of-11-in-lng-fuelled-mini-van-nakhon-ratchasima/
  23. Oh yes, waiting for the news of that mishap with tourists being burned alive!
  24. Well a local can do this quite easily and probably cheaply...... I bet many Western men put off visiting a doctor though.
  25. I have never regarded UTP as 'Pattaya' airport. It is simply rather too far off and I always remember the old situation of trying to get to and from there by Sukhumvit, which was hopeless..... It perhaps suits those who have settled in Na Jomtiem of Huay Yai... Topic isn't about the types of tourists in Pattaya, but some soapbox warriors always come along.
