This would suggest the test is not very specific... it is not a Covid and halitosis test kit!

It doesn't???... And yet in an non-exacerbated condition (your words), that person, or persons, very likely would have lived! If a person had Covid when they die, report that as a fact. Not to consider that person's Covid status is a seemingly deliberate ploy to mask infection levels. People don't generally die of 'old age', if they had symptomatic Covid, I would certainly believe it correct to assign it to Covid.

I had noticed in my Pattaya area that mask wearing by the locals was slipping a few weeks ago, but it appears to have come back again now. -
When the tourist numbers are back up to the point of everyone being satisfied and they begin to get fed up of foreigners again.

There is supposed to be some collar that goes around to raise it to the new level... heaven forbid that is not done and we and up with a drop to the drains! Two years+ of Covid we had where there was nobody about to do this and it sounds like they waited for peak season!

Currency Exchanges, Cash on some transaction deal. Anyone in business here will receive cash from customers. I was thinking along these lines when recently in a Visa agents, 1000 baht notes all over the place. -
Just wondering as Visa details are not on the Embassy websites like they used to be, which I believed was because it has all been shipped to some online facility. In the past many folks would have left Thailand for Penang or Savannakhet to try and get another Tourist Visa there, and carry on living in Thailand... Things were tightening up pre Covid though. Wonder if that is available now.

In some circumstances yes... and it is very difficult to say 'unrelated'.. The symptoms of Delta may well bring on a heart attack as an example, Particularly ailments where one is immune compromised....

Yes, that is the point I am trying to make.... I see all to often people using the phrase 'died with Covid, rather than die from Covid'.... as if Covid is nothing to be concerned about! Or the even more stark comment where they would have died quite soon anyway.. trivializing Covid, and even early demise.

Not to them....... The assistant director thinks the link is sufficient to warrant him recommending people get vaccinated. I understand there can be comorbidities... Like AIDs the actual reason cited for death may rest elsewhere.... but Covid is involved.
