    The wife's brother and SIL's child seems to have no problems with using 'her' seat.... she was okay with the mask wearing too during Covid... sweet kid.

    I was told 2 reasons.. Thailand using foreign reserves to buy baht, and the USA moving cash into equities. (Positive USA inflation data may support that.)

    I used to go sea fishing which required a very early start time and drive down Sukhumvit in the early hours.... saw many.

    That is as I expected because it qualifies it for the lower tax bracket. Odd that the dealers would add extras to make it effectively suitable for illegal use... like an ashtray and cup holders in the back to go with the seat. .

    It would seem to be a strange responsibility to impose on foreigners, and likely unwanted. Have you ever tried to tell a local anything? My Mrs won't listen, as she knows everything already.

    And yet, I am sure I have read on 3 different threads, claims that the other exits were not locked! Perhaps these mainly came from owners or operators. But it would seem to be an easy detail to validate. Or perhaps we need to stop printing blatant lies!

    Loss of income from people extending? I think when I first ever came to Thailand we were only stamped in for 15 days.... It has been 30 for a long time now...things change slowly under military oversight. A bit of xenophobic paranoia maybe?

    I was wondering if the age had something to do with it.... pretty sure my old Ford Escort in the UK did not have seatbelts in the back. Your logic is flawed, the absence of seat belts does not define it is not intended for passengers, any more than the absence of a TV ! The presence of a seat cushion, a backrest cushion, seat pockets and windows, cup holders and an ash-tray, say the space was built for passengers!

    I like to think so, and include in that those still being treated for their injuries. But all too often promises are made simply to quell the noise, and later not acted upon.....

    Would 45 days cover it then or would you still be looking to extend? I think the mass market of big numbers from China/India are more in their sights.
