I have both types at home. The surgical ones that the staff and doctors at hospitals seem to find adequate, and particulate ones deemed suitable for pollution protection... I actually bought a large number of the latter pre-Covid and still have a lot left. Your 'doubts' come from a position of ignorance and guesswork. I am also aware the latter are not suitable wrt infection prevention, as they have positive pressure relief valves.... Easy to keep those just with the bike....

I wonder how many are still taking tests regularly, or whether employers still obligate it. I was in the bank the other day, people here still wear masks there, and the lady at the desk asked me to pull mine down to confirm my passport pic (good she does that I believe).... then she got up to make copies and gave a couple of coughs and I suggested maybe she had Covid. She quickly whipped a negative test strip from her pocket!

Oh I can see that happening, it is not the preferred and more reliable method using a QR code, or touch and go. My old eyes, it is dark here, fiddly little phone, those couple of Leo beers! I would not blame the cashier here....
