It is a very discriminatory society.... they look after their own first.... Easy to become the victim if all around are quite prepared to lie for that reason. even dealing with the police they look to line their own pocket above fairness.

Bali is okay but falls far short in attractions wrt Thailand.... If one is making occasional mask wearing the basis for the decision as where to go for a holiday, I would say the obsession is on your side. Living in Pattaya, I am not finding the need to don a mask now and again so terrible and catastrophic!

It is manslaughter...... ten years in jail might be a starting point. Too often innocent people die at their hands and I suspect a monetary payment to family and a slap on the wrist is the only result.... particularly if it was a Merc being driven!

I agree with that... a trip to visit a pal in Cork spoiled me... and he took me to a few places where the stuff was especially good, one being a golf club, another a scruffy little place. Struggled to find comparable quality in UK...and a bit of an argument in the USA with a bar owner there over whether it traveled well, taught me they were deluded there.

I think the market is going to do well in the next few years. It is like Pattaya is coming out of the doldrums....and the developing EEC should support this. Lots of interest in houses too judging by viewings around my area. Apparently many from Bangkok buyers too. OP... you can only do research and avoid properties allowing short term rentals. -
