    Well the insurance is the responsibility of the guy renting out.. but I doubt these guys have motorcycle licences, and as we see ride around without helmets.

    And that happened after a couple of girls on a motorcycle were killed by a cement truck wanting to head up Nua.

    Yes, commonplace for folks to borrow on such a basis here..... I have certainly heard of 10% pcm which leaves the principal unaffected. I once learned my Mrs had lent to a friend on that basis. She told me that was cheap.

    Haven't used a baht bus for a while bit it sure sounds like they have deteriorated... no wonder folks are hanging off the back!

    I was thinking that there must be something 'special' about Thai women, to enrage the normally quiet, polite and placid Japanese to such an extent.

    I did my front door step a while back with those strips of sandpaper like tape... can't believe front door steps are made of regular tiles here. Mrs said something about keeping snakes out!

    It's sad yes, but safety considerations are abysmal here. It goes further than employers, but to individuals themselves, don't seem to grasp their very actions put themselves and others at risk. We see it on the road... no consideration while whizzing along playing with the phone, but will cry buckets after the incident.
