  1. I suspect that you have somehow been too quick to ever allow wisdom to catch up with you. Anti war? Is that why he supports the massacre of Palestinians by way of multi billion dollar payments to Israel every year? Is that why he agreed to have B2 bombers drop weapons on Iran? Is that why he threatened to bomb Moscow, just days ago. Come on...if you believe Trump is anti war, I have a couple of bridges i'd like to sell you.
  2. He offers Putin almost two months to bomb Ukraine to pieces, but wants people to recommend him for a Nobel peace prize? So delusional!! If he cared a whit about both democracy and the Ukrainian people, he would IMMEDIATELY introduce the strongest possible sanctions (both primary and secondary) against Russia and IMMEDIATELY send all necessary weapons (both offensive and defensive) to Ukraine. TACO (aka Agent Krashvov) is very likely a Russian asset, and will be until his dying day, which cannot come soon enough for people who care about democracy.
  3. I find it incredible that there are so many people on this forum who are so obviously willing to accept OBVIOUS lies. To my mind, if Trump is so perfect and innocent as some of his "flock" appear to feel, how can they accept all this gaslighting about this situation? There is a mountain of evidence in the form of video tapes, sound recordings, wired mansions, etc that implicates Epstein and his special "clients" ,..none of which has been released to the public. I could care less if people on both sides of the political divide are implicated, for I hate the idea of pedophilia and think anyone involved in it should be chemically castrated. People who exploit children sexually are the bottom of the pond scum of society, and the seeming willingness of some Trump supporters to look the other way is beneath contempt. Release all related information to the public, and let the chips land where they will I say!~
  4. The Epstein affair is NOT over...as a matter of fact, it is just getting started. Consider this: if Ghislaine Maxwell pushes to have her case overturned and demands a re-trial on the basis of the claims that there are NO Epstein clients, how do you think the MAGA base will react? The fixation is not, as you claim, on a dead bad man, but rather on the need for justice for the large number of under age women who were exploited by Epstein and his buddies. Do you not sense the moral need of both punishment for the guilty and compensation for all the victims of this evil enterprise?
  5. Get a spell check app for goodness sake. Reading your writing practically requires the Rosetta stone
  6. As a Canadian who left decades ago and hasn't returned since 2012, I am intrigued by your comment. Can you elaborate a little on why you'd rush out of Thailand if it even "remotely resembled Canada"?
  7. I have to agree that we need to talk about many things, as the previous set up was very good for both nations. Also, you have a good point... Canada might be able to survive without the US, but our standard of living wouldn't be the same. With time, we'll work out our differences, hopefully in spite of the "bloviator" (is that a word?)
  8. You admit you don't know. That's good enough for me. I shifted nothing, as I merely made it irrevocably clear that the thread was not including salient information, that being Canada has finalized a deal for over the horizon air defence with the Aussies.. The premise of many people on this forum seems to be that America has the right to decide Canadian defence policy...untrue, as the Canadian government does that. Frankly, we are sick of all the bullying and arrogance coming from Trump, and we'll do just fine without the US.
  9. Got any evidence to back up that obviously made up claim? It is true that Carney is willing to (humour Trump) discuss it but we NEVER asked to be part of it. Why would we if we've already invested in a decent and workable alternative?
  10. After reading through five pages of commentary, I realized that nobody had mentioned that Canada had recently purchased a 6 billion dollar air defence system from Australia. Here are the receipts: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/mar/19/canada-australia-arctic-radar-defence-system So, all this talk about a "Golden Dome" is utter nonsense, as Canada will have no need for it, thanks very much. Oh, one more thing. The Yanks cannot build the Golden Dome without the assistance of Canada, and considering how they've been treating us of late, they can go and F themselves. Sorry!! By the way, if anyone disagrees that the US needs Canada's assistance in building their 'Dome', I suggest you have a look at this: https://www.politico.com/news/2025/05/23/trump-canada-golden-dome-00366410
  11. When it's your turn, I wonder what you'd think if someone made such a comment about you? If you have nothing positive to say, SAY NOTHING!
  12. Read the comment again....it says "the people who elected Trump", not the entire population. Geez....what is unfair about that?
  13. Whoever said the people who elected Trump WERE NOT dull headed sheep? Apparently, they prefer fascism over democracy, lies over truth, stupidity over intelligence and cultish beliefs over critical thinking. Sure sounds like a bunch of dull headed sheep to me!
  14. Wonderful place and wonderful family running it. Highly recommended - we've been there a half dozen times.
  15. This has become "hair splitting" when, in "reality world", its blatantly obvious that this man is completely innocent, and should be offered significant compensation upon his safe return to his wife and family. Any other interpretation, based on what is currently known to be true, is evil and insane.
  16. Let Trump have Canada? WTF? It is NOT HIS to take, and NEVER WILL BE. What the f%$& is wrong with your brain?
  17. Excellent news....sends a clear shot across the bow against people who support money politics, for Musk failed in his mission to buy votes. Now, onwards and upwards, and bye bye Elon hopefully soon.
  18. I think you are making a mistake writing down things that don't make any sense. Wiping Gaza and Iran off the face of the Earth? Are you insane? Have you ever been to Gaza or Iran? I have, and If you went, you would quickly realize that 99% of the people are perfectly normal, not to mention totally innocent. Consider the US....generally speaking, people are not at all concerned about average US citizens, but many, including myself, are concerned about the people who have leadership roles, as they have proven themselves to be clueless within only a couple of months of being in power. Secondly, denying due process to "so called" illegals is both legally and morally nonsensical. Everyone agrees that criminal aliens should be forced to leave, but even they deserve due process, for it is a LAW in the USA. Stop drinking the Trump Koolaid and come back to your senses!
  19. As prices rise and 99% of the MAGA faithful start to realize that they have been duped into a bizarre cult, it will be hard for them to admit their miscalculations. But, as their 401k's tank, their social security payments don't arrive and their jobs disappear, they will finally understand what has happened. Its hard to imagine what will happen then, but it won't be pretty.
  20. What a remarkable statement. Why do Yanks always seem to think that "might makes right"...? Lets see what you have to say when we turn off the power to about six million US households. Maybe you'll begin to realize a few things then...
  21. Wrong. Canada is a proud, vibrant and sovereign country that will continue being strong and free. Where do some of you Yanks get your unwarranted arrogance from? Your country has been falling behind other developed countries for years and years. Look at your rankings in education, health care, infrastructure, etc....all falling apart. Nonetheless. you reserve the right to dictate to other countries that have no desire to emulate you in any shape or manner. Elbows up! Oh, and if you disagree, hit the link here and listen to what an American has to say about your country. It might offer you some insight that is clearly missing, likely due to a bad case of the Dunning Kruger effect.
  22. It seems that anyone who uses logic ,the US constitution and the rule of law is a "drama queen" in your mind. Hope it all works out for you and your cult buddies.
  23. This whole screw up has NOTHING to do with politics, for this is a national security issue. Any attempt at explaining away this egregious carelessness by setting up Biden as a "straw man" is nonsensical. Don't take my word for it, ....rather, lets examine the US criminal code, shall we? The penalties for disclosing Top Secret information outside approved US government channels include fines of up to US$250K and ten years in prison, under section 798 of Title 18, the United States Code federal criminal code. Was it "Top secret information' . Once again, I will avoid offering my opinion and defer to a former CIA director and Defense Secretary. “I don’t think there is any question that we are dealing with classified information. These are war plans,” Leon Panetta, a former CIA director and defense secretary, told MSNBC regarding Signalgate on Tuesday. Panetta said what was described in the report all qualifies as “highly classified information.” If these clearly unprofessional and unqualified MAGA cultists had just admitted from the get go that they had screwed up, 'Signalgate' might never happened. But, as the 'dream team' has been playing fast and loose with national security, they didn't want to be discovered as being habitual users of the easily hacked application. Additionally, they didn't want their conversations to go on the public record, so they preferred using Signal to avoid any sort of public scrutiny of their gross incompetence and amateurism. Bottom line is that this is NOT a political question, but rather an issue of comprised national security. As it stands, what other country would EVER want to share intelligence with the USA after this debacle? Oh, right....Russia, El Salvador and possibly North Korea, the new friends and allies of this pariah state.
  24. Although nobody expects any accountability, Trump and his fascist friends will gradually come to the realization that the American people aren't quite as stupid as they believe. Pretty much everyone in the US is either friendly with or related to a person who has served in some capacity within the US military, and if you randomly asked ANY of those people, they would tell you that all of those sycophants running those departments should be fired and charged with disclosing top secret information. The penalties for disclosing Top Secret information outside approved US government channels include fines of up to US$250K and ten years in prison, under section 798 of Title 18, the United States Code federal criminal code." The Teflon Don is an expert at wiggling out of tricky situations, but I'm not convinced he and his moronic officials will get away with this one. All reactions: 44
  25. Age 67. Daily five km walk near rice fields around sunset...lifting weights and barbells every second day, cycling three times a week, 25km each time. Plus, now that its hot, 45 minutes of swimming early in the morning. Despite doing all this for years, I still need to drop at least 10 kgs. Doh!
