  1. My first hand take, Saw massive uptake on this during covid, had flyers all over the place even some being dropped off at expat pubs of all places, this coupled with the line loan apps has meant its way out of control. Saw a number of people around my soi having to do a runner and still found their online presence and any remaining family abused. Dual loans were common, i,e on desperate Thai pairs up with an equally desperate thai and co-sign on a loan, one does a runner leaving the other fecked. Once completely fecked and can no longer pay the interest, the constant hassling goes up a notch (this is often worse than physical violence), they borrow somewhere else or worse borrow and gamble as they see that as only viable way out and dig themselves deeper. Some run and some get into the Friday night vans to Cambodia or Vietnam casino's and call centers to work off but never quite pay off their debt. The article suggests contacting police, that trust unfortunately is often not there. It needs an independent group specifically for dealing with loan shark debts.
  2. Out of curiosity, are there any tangible benefits of doing this?
  3. Yep great first half, amazing transition from this time last year. Decent flexibility up front, some in midfield but defense might need a consistent 4 as seems to drop quite a bit when rotating. Hatate back on form, if he needs a weeks rest to hit that form then I'd just play him every other week but hopefully last year was due too many games and given the summer rest he can do that level consistently. CL will be entertaining, "there will be goals".
  4. Weak weed laced with tcp to give effect of a stronger hit more common in illegal weed markets. Here hallucinations and danger are higher. legalisation should hopefully reduce this practice provided sellers are selling at reasonable prices. Curious if the did some analysis on his leaves to see what he was actually taking.
  5. noting these people had to go to the press rather than the police it seems a risk that a lot of loan sharks have police connections. The madness of chasing an impossible debt by borrowing more and gambling has got sucked into a lot of borrowers mentality, ripe for crypto or other online 30% profit a month scams. Right now thailand would benefit from a full on purge of loan sharks by an independent group. The debts are often written in a way that hides the 20% interest a month or 10% a day in some cases, that could explain the differences in the lender/borrower money numbers. desperate people borrow, addicts borrow, leaches prey on them
  6. I long time I had the Under review stamp visa, I started a new job and they added the work visa with the work permit. When I left that job they cancelled that visa at BOI and was told I had to leave thailand that day as it was 5 days after my offical termination date. I had to make a mad dash to Chaeng wattana to bring back my under review visa back to life. It turned out in effect I had two visa's running at the same time.
