  1. very even handed, they are grabbing them from all over Thailand, north and south.

Even handed my arse. You are buying what they're selling. There are yellow and red casinos, yellow and red illegal loggers, yellow and red drug lords, and yellow and red bribery rings.

Does the crackdown show the country is in order? No. The crackdown shows the country is under a specific kind of yellow order. No Yellows will be prosecuted with jail terms, no yellows will be thrown under the bus for expediency, no yellows will be punished in any real way.

Wake up -- the propaganda from both sides is designed to have you side with them.

Many of us are not buying it. Many of us, and MANY more Thais (they have just lived here their whole lives and, of course, don't have the "wisdom" of westerners, like yourself). They have lived here all their lives and know...if you follow the money...you find a two-headed snake.

One head is yellow, and the other is red.....

Amazing Thailand. The foreign governments have it wrong, and so do do the TVF Solomons.

How laughable. Resume rants, but be assured -- NO ONE worth considering is being convinced. No one, but the sheeple.

Fang.... you must be in this just far a wind-up... no one in their right mind would come up and spout off all all the buffalo droppings you do... either that scenario or you have only been in this wonderful country for a very few months... whichever...Do not identify yourself to me in a dark alley....

  2. Are there any specific charges or is this just a hunting expedition?

yes hunting down the thieves khun bill.they have been doing so for over a year..but yinluck said ..when she was the puppet pm that it only took 3 weeks..because that was what someone told her to say...like it or hate it thailand is much more happier and stable since 9 days ago..except for a couple of pundits on here..wai2.gif

So I'll take from your reply that it is a hunting expedition with no specific charges yet. I'm interested because I think the Rice Scheme was a good thing and hope it or some subsidy like it will be continued to support the rural areas. It would be too bad if embezzlement, outright theft or criminal mismanagement would prove to taint the entire program.

People are usually happier and more content when their problems seem to have melted away under some spell like that of alcohol. Unfortunately the next morning they often awake with a headache and find their problems have returned. Of course they could choose to just keep on drinking. Facing problems sober and head-on is not a lot of fun for anyone. sad.png

what Planet do YOU come from.... a good thing...Haha..... Shame on you and your wife....

  3. Useless according to whom? Oh ok, I get it, according to the people now in charge.

You could get 100 people to look at proposed and on-going projects, and get a 100 different opinions, on what is needed and what should be dumped. That's why there are elections. At least with elected officials, the populace gets a slight chance of getting their ideas represented. With self-appointed heads, it's up to those bosses, that's about it. Maybe we'll get lucky, and the current boss will make wise choices. ....or maybe not, but none of us, or even voters will be able to do anything about it, either way. But again, 'wise decisions' are subjective. What I consider 'wise' may be considered stupid and wasteful by the next person, and vice versa, and so it goes in Thailand.

I take it you are Australian.... if that one small statement if correct means you are Farang. You are in Thailand.. it does not matter one jot what you think and Thank God for Thai people that only Thais can fix these problems.. Look at the state of your own country which I take it , is why you come and live here, AND now you want to change Thailand to be more like Australia... which is the most corrupt country in the "Western culture" It's why Thai people do not want Farang here... shame on you..wai2.gif Keep your anti-Thai views to yourself..

  4. No! Your post is right on.

    Someone nudge that guy, please!

Will the New Order waive Work Permits for volunteers?

During the last big flood I was nearly arrested in Pathun Tani (I was filling up sand bags) for not having a Work Permit to do so.

The 30 or so Thais with whom I was swarmed around the police men and demanded I would not be arrested. They were vocal and shamed the cops for their actions. The cops replied that they were enforcing the Law. Really? As if.......

What were you thinking of... you are FARANG.. you know that you cannot do any job, or work here without a work permit for that specific job. You were in the wrong, but as a farang, of course you know better... Your thoughts and actions are what makes Thai people not want Farangs here... be seen and not heard, give your money to some poor bar girl... and Why would you want to make sandbags... get a life for Gods sake and stop destroying the reputation of us lazy, beer guzzling. bar-girl loving Farangs...cheesy.gif

  5. any advice will be appreciated

If you have never been there, dont bother, its a basket case.

Why do you think there are so many Pinoy trying to get to Thailand?

I will NEVER set foot in that country again.

The tales the wifes Pinoy friends could tell you would make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.

Best avoided, Cambo is better if a push comes to a shove.

Cambo as you call it is a shi*hole.. Only take your daughter to Cebu if you want to sell her .. Better stay in Thailand... or take all your family back to your home country..

  6. The photo was taken 2 days before the earthquake.

Just a silly prank that somehow was mistakenly circulated around Facebook .

We were all young once and done some silly things and I think the penalty is a bit harsh.

As Geri said it was a potent response and she's learnt her lesson.

Boy this social media can cause some trouble!

For once I agree... and we were all young once and we DID some silly things... but most of us went to school and learnt how to read and write !

  7. So I see once again as in most threads the yellows only form of defense is attack!

Nothing about sutep and his mob derailing any move to go forward just the same old rhetoric and an absolute fascination with thaksin.

So you yellows blindly support sutep and he and his thugs never do any thing wrong they are the salt of the earth.

You guys should be condemning these thugs for not even allowing some breakthrough to happen and trying to go forward.

    Maybe that's what you want.

It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

    Samuel Langhorne Clemens...... wai2.gif

  8. That's right they were elected time after time by the people.

The only way the yellow dems can get power is by taking it by any means other than election because the people have proven time and time again they don't want them!

    Where's abhisit this last week?

    Some go forward he is!

Not a peep out of him!

Stuttering Parrot...... go look in a mirror and see what is looking back at you.... obviously English is NOT your first language. Perhaps you did not go to skool...... whistling.gif

  9. May I suggest, if it turns out to be 2 people a high powered sniper rifle. Stand them back to back and only waste 1 bullet on such utter vermin. The harming/murder of kids needs to be met with the harshest sentence possible not rehabilitation. After all we don't try and rehabilitate a rabid dog do we.

Jeremy, that one bullet would NOT be a waste...

  10. Not much information about the "Thai mansion" in this Thai reprinted article. No information or interest by the Thai press in smoking out the banking connection mentioned in the Bangkok funds transfer. Who are the Thai Mr. Bigs in the Bangkok money laundering network here? That should be the news in the Thai press plus they should be seizing the "Thai mansion."

Probabaly somewhere around Pattaya..... will be up fpr sale soon.... w00t.gif

  11. For the good of the whole nation, Issan and the North should be given autonomy... Let it become one area with Shinewatras as their leaders.. Allow the peoples to the west , Bangkok and south to have their own parliament... And one King for all... east solution.. thumbsup.gif

  12. Go to the subsidized blue flag ones and let the others (who work according a market mechanism) suffer. blink.png

Mr. Santichai said the program is meant to ease financial burdens during the economic slow-down, and to assist parents who are bound to face additional expenditures when school semesters start this June.

How about selling them some subsidized rice before it is given to friendly foreign countries (below market price) or rotten?

Ordinary people will not get to the food unless they climb over the Russians...wai.gif

  13. What was Samak kicked out for? Receiving 5,000 Baht for appearing on a cookery programme in a previous piece of blatantly political interference from the courts.

Tarit was effectively a civil servant who was openly critical of the government. He had to go.

Take care Millwall fan , you a a Farang who is openly critical of the next government.. perhaps YOU will have to go.. Haha..
