A golden whistle!
Really a grown educated man accepting a golden whistle like a kid accepting a lolly for being a good boy from the teacher.
This is just embarrassing!
Whoever you are Stuttering Parrot, you are not very clever...it's not about a whistle, its about what it stands for... and as you are a Farang, what it stands for has absolutely nothing to do with you... And he is a grown up educated man, a lot more than you can say for yourself... Get a life and worry about the politics in your own sad country.. If you don't like what is happening in Thailand.. the door is always open.. Why is it so many stupid farangs come to live in Thailand.. Oh right, its the only place they can find a woman...

How could you forgive that trumped up self proclaimed peoples medium for the damage his dems have done to the people and the thai economy .
You guys really support an appointed reform committe hand picked and a hand picked pm by this mob of elitist thugs who deny the basic rite to vote.
Lucky you guys don't vote.Oh hang on that's right you support sutep the vote nazi!
No vote for you!
is it a basic rite to vote... or
is it a basic Right to vote...or
is it a basic write to vote....? or does Mr Wright have the right to vote...... But Mr Stuttering Parrot.. You cannot spell and therefore do not have the right to write about any type of rite .. whether you are rite or rong... so,back to the KY and tissues for your schoolboy English...

She is baiting the court and holding them in contempt again. If her wish is not granted she will use that to incite the 200 000 strong armed street gang.
She is a Shin, she belongs in jail where she can no longer damage the country and silence the voice of the majority.
She gave 30 days for Thawil to pack his bags and get out of his office when he was transferred. He asked for more time and it was not granted.
The world does not revolve around you yingluck. You have had time. Maybe some less time celebrating songkhan and being welcomed around Chaing Mai at temples and feeding that temperamental easily hurt personality of yours would have allowed time to prepare a defense.
I can imagine her reasons at the court house. I was on holidays sorry. She is still on holidays and sends her lawyers. Contempt.
"She is baiting the court and holding them in contempt again. If her wish is not granted she will use that to incite the 200 000 strong armed street gang.
She is a Shin, she belongs in jail where she can no longer damage the country and silence the voice of the majority."
What is this alleged majority you keep on quoting, I see no evidence of it? And why should she belong in jail, for being a "Shin" (you do know the forum rules about using the proper names for people don't you?)
Likewise any evidence for your statement that he asked for more time, or is it just another throwaway line with no backup, just hoping someone will believe you.
Still it's against the PTP/Thaksin/UDD so you'll argue the toss. Why back up a guy that's just stirring the pot for his masters - he doesn't even want the job and he retires in less than 6 months
"Indeed, I don't want to return to the position, but after having fought for two and a half years for justice, I should. Many people in the bureaucratic system share the same fate as me," he said. http://www.nationmultimedia.com/politics/Thawil-wins-reinstatement-new-hot-potato-for-premi-30228693.htmlContempt, yes I've plenty.
But brains.........

DidntThailand want to build a port in Myanmar to transport all this stuff from China coming by rail?
No...
-
Why would the heads of any state enterprises want anything whatsoever to do with Suthep?
Because quite simply.....Suthep is a Winner..... and we all like winners... plus, why would they not ?

Also , over the age of 18yrs it is illegal to have a passport from 2 different countries in Thailand. You must be of one nationality only.

I know of one foreign high school where they ran a training video demonstrating how to use a condom. The device was carefully placed on a carrot, and rolled down. Are they going to teach them how to use them too, or just put a machine in the crapper and hope they can figure it out?
I'm not sure that would have prevented many pregnancies!
Seriously though, I worked in a university in Papua New Guinea some years ago, where the clinic was run by a group whose religion was against using any family planning methods. The clinic had a large supply of condoms in store, and that's where they stayed.
As the students all lived on campus, you can imagine the problems. 33% of all the female students couldn't complete their studies and returned to their villages to have the baby.
Yup. Thailand is the Asian Papua New Guinea.
No....Papua New Guinea is the Asian Papua New Guinea...... plonker..

Another farang who don't understand Thai people. Thai people don't want or need any election. Election is a farang culture, not applicable or suitable for Thailand. Unlike farang, Thai people respect and listen to our elder.
I believe that the majority of Thai people do want an election.
I am worried because I am hearing less people talking about about working together to find a solution and more talking about getting rid of the other side.
The people of Thailand are becoming more "information Savvy",
They will not stand by and allow the old guard to get rid of another elected government.
The majority of Thai people ... Do Not Care..... Don't you get it Dr Bruce... Have you even been up-country here... Majority of these peoples cannot read or write, they don't know and don't care... Have you ever asked a Thai person to point out where Thailand is on a world map..? Or where Bangkok is on a Thailand map..... Why do Farang men live here..? its sure not because the women have brains..! and we sure do not want to make friends with Thai men.. unless you swing that way..!!

Amazes me how they arrest all these highly wanted people from other countries, but yet when it comes to their own or a tourist is in need they are deaf dumb and blind.
I think all these arrests of foreigners, must come from tip offs...plus there's likely a bounty involved maybe.
But yes.....why can't they be so diligent with the locals??
I guess by tip offs u mean other agency's ,if so U R right . Thai police , special branch plus secret service couldn't find a brothel in a desert.
Are there many brothels in deserts? .
Are there many Desserts in the brothels..

Being drunk doesn't excuse him at all, but instead of putting him at the bottom of the barrel, I will simply hope for a long prison sentence and decades of misery. I hope he gets fired from his job, divorced, can't see his kid for decades, and stays in a BKK jail. Exploiting children is no joking matter.
He was actually convicted in Australia under Australian laws so I doubt he will spend anytime in the BKK Hilton.
Chooka, seems you have just admitted to being an ex-Australian cop.... you just lost all credence you had on Thai-visa... The most corrupt police force in the Western world...... especially the Victorian lot.. ! Shame on you..!

Could we make it a 1 day (not 1 week) celebration, ban ice water, ban throwing of water at anyone riding motorcycles, designate "happy" zones where you CAN throw water, but only in these areas not the main streets and also ban throwing of water at people who are wildly gesticulating "NO" and saying "NO" in Thai also please. I'm getting more than a tad sick of getting soaked and powdered every time I walk out of the house. Thanks.
Come to Hua Hin....it is only one day and Great Fun.... but you are in Thailand and if you don't like Songkran .. there is that old Thai saying... Frig off.....

"...to bear the negative impact of political populism"
It is one thing to discuss the pro's and con's of Govt. programs, another to advance political theory while doing so.
Left unchallenged, such negating of political theory and underlying principles, could be viewed as gospel.
The Ammart is opposed to what the above quote calls "political populism"...Let's be sure we know what that means.....
Populism refers to "programs for ordinary people"...So in the context of this quote, the statement actually says that "Political programs for ordinary people is a bad thing"
And that is the mantra of BKK. centered political circles, who decry what they see as national financial wherewithal being wasted on ordinary folks not of their station.
Does that give you a clue as to their electoral futility? Does that give you an inkling about all the furor and noise they generate against Govt. programs designed to 'spread the wealth'.
It is why the Lumpini crowd wants to establish a Civilian Dictatorship of their own kind, to put an end to such programming which does not cater to them exclusively....
The only way they can do that is non-electorally.
Maybe in nearer future the very educated Bangkokians must grow rice, fruits and vegetable on their fancy 1sqm balkonies or on rooftops...
Don't be so silly Mentors... The Burmese, Cambodians and Vietnamese are already sending nearly all of their produce to Thai markets.... The clever Bangkok tax-payers will never be without and who will the Isaan people sell their produce to... Let the Red Shirts stew in their own makings... Lao Khao and som tam anyone..!

So to use this crossing you must have obtained a Myanmar visa prior to using it.
Sorry, but no you do not.... there is a way you can enter for 1 week without a proper tourist visa... but you do have to take a guide and leave your passport at the entry office..

"Democrat party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva yesterday (Wednesday) challenged caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to quit the office....."
Basically, what he is saying:
>Electoral majority, I ask that you rescind your votes?
>Please don't force the CC into exposing themselves
Or he could be saying
Thailand needs time to get rid of the corruption in bred into our political system
Would it not be better to step down now, and not be part of Thai history what you have caused
I wrote my answer
who wrote yours PTP
The problem with this is that Abhisit and his party are the source of much of the corruption in Thailand.
Welcome Michaelscottfan.... how many posts will you write in 2 days... another Red from under the bed...

Thankyou Suthep for all the protesting that has virtually ruined my business.
Alfred, the NOT SO Great, (businessman) you are not the only one... But I am more than willing to suffer my losses in silence... When Suthep succedes and Thailand rids itself of the Shinewatras all will not have been in vain... Rock on the Thai peoples...

Why in the world would a graft buster be out stumping a pending case in the public anyway...? His bias is obvious,, not veiled..and he's begging off responsibility...?
Months into Abhisit’s $42-billion three-year government stimulus program, two government ministers resigned in scandals linked to abuse of the funds. Allegations ranged from irregularities in the procurement of hospital equipment and school supplies to rigged bidding process on construction projects....Corruption allegations shadowed the $42-billion government-spending plan to rescue Thailand from recession. Questions were raised over procurement projects involving security forces, while abuse-of-power complaints against police and provincial officials. The Thai military, whose more than 1,000 active generals outnumber those in the U.S. military which is at least three times its size, is also a perennial source of cost overruns and corruption allegations.
So where is the law applied..? and equally applied...Nothing has been moved forward with regards to the Abhiset cases several of them expire next year..but all that is just covered over in the kitty litter box hoping no one will smell it.....
yer dern tootin' it needs a revamp..and new people .....not hand picked by the 2006 coup leaders...but I am asking way too much here... too deeply engrained too many connections...and Suthep out blatantly claiming sovereignty ...Caveat Emptor... the Emperor has no clothes...
Dirt box farmer....If the clothes fit......... you change your tune more than the <deleted> Bee Gees... and try speaking plain English.. Caveat Emptor sounds like a new Thai restaurant...

Staggering hypocrisy from the Suthep mob and the acolyte supporters on this forum: they beg for support / security from the army and when it is offered, apparently shoot them as they please. These scumbag guards need to be sent to prison for a very long time. No one is safe from their indiscriminate, trigger-happy lunacy
Really you should keep quiet as you have no idea what is going on at these protest sites... This is something for Thai people to sort out for themselves. If Farang don't like what is happening here, there is a Malaysian 777 waiting to take you to another destination. We can Never understand Thai mentality, so better shut up and stay dumb... If you were not so stupid, you would be a politician in your home country, and here you are , a walking ATM machine for some Thai lady... Reap what you sow..!

"Prompong said the EC so far had not agreed to allow party representatives to attend"
I can understand why.
Effectively, a meeting between the anti-election Committee and the military/security people is a meeting of anti-democrats.......It is accepted by many people that the military has been a participant in this anti-democracy activism, not security as they pretend....Combine them with the anti-Electoral Commission, and they will decide all be their lonesome, how to obstruct and/or avoid the next election. Consistent with the demands of the Lumpini crowd. But couch it in all sorts of reasons associated with security.
You will note I don't call it 'anti-Govt.' protests...That motive is misleading and merely cover to try and lend legitimacy to coup-intentions, under pretense of indignant issue opposition.....Stuff that rightfully belongs in Parliament.
So no, they don't want the PTP representing the electoral majority to be privy to these cozy discussions between like-minded anti-democrats.
I'm going to take issue with your "interpretation" of events (again).
Firstly: "In order to host the next election, the EC wishes to ask the military and security authorities to evaluate the situation and set guidelines, particularly on security affairs for the election,"
So, the EC (who are the ones expected to run the elections and oversee security) ask to speak to those who will actually be performing those duties, i.e. the Police and the Army, to clarify what they has happened previously and how they should do things in the future.
This has nothing to do with ANY of the parties, not PT, not Dems, not PDRC not any party, which is WHY they are not invited. The "parties" don't get a say in how the elections are run, they get told how they are run, and that applies to both/all sides so stop complaining that PT weren't invited, neither were the Dems. It's got nothing to do with any of them at this stage. They will be told AFTER how the elections will be run. That's the duty and responsibility of the EC to make that decision and only the EC following advice from said security forces.
"So no, they don't want the PTP representing the electoral majority to be privy to these cozy discussions" . . . well, that might be how YOU interpret things, but please stop trying to intimate (as you always do) that this somehow equates to a "majority" . . . your delusions on the popularity of the red shirts/UDD/PT/Thaksin are completely misplaced right now. If there was an election right this moment, I doubt very much if PT would get much more than 25% of the vote, and with a very large proportion of "no votes" cast as there isn't an acceptable opposition to many also at this moment. The point being there is no way in hell that PT would get ANY majority just at the moment.
Got to take issue with the last para. Whether or not there is a majority, the fact is there is one side in this that did not want an election. They obviously don't agree with your argument that PT would not get any majority, otherwise they would be licking their lips at the prospect of an election.
Chriss..... sit down, clear your head, and think again.... There is not any side who does not want an election... all sides want an election... But not all sides want a fair and equal election... Reform MUST happen so as to allow Thailand and its voters to have a fair and equal election. People should NOT be bullied, Peoples should not be bought..Candidates should be allowed to canvas wherever they like...Candidates should be allowed to go to the peoples and express their views without the threat of violence against them and their families... Red Democracy DOES NOT allow these basic needs... Election without Reform is not election...

im curious to know what sound the whistle blowers would make if by accident or intention a whistle managed to find its way into their anal passage
Oh. thats easy one... just bend over a wee bit..... "There is one born every minute"

This is why my missus won't let Graham out of her sight for a minute. He's out in the garden at the moment pottering about, burying a turd (I think) and she's in and out every two minutes checking on him, but I'd like to see anyone hop over our fence and risk a 7 inch spike in the sac or through the gut....
If anyone comes to try and nab him we'd know about it. He barks like mad at anyone, even the neighbours and he knows them.
Bleedin "Graham" is this a dog you are talking about or your wifes lover.... get a life... and take those socks off his front paws..!

Could force exit .
Yes, but in that case elections will be the next step, so Suthep will lose also, nut such a bad idea.
ikke, just in case there is something about this conflict that you don't understand.... Suthep has Never and will Never lose anything... he and his friends have won hands down from the very beginning... They Never had anything to lose.. and a government who played straight into their hands... A goverment so conceited and arrogant ,who thought they were above all checks and balances.. But Unluckily, Mr T cannot walk on water.... sit back and watch him drown .... Rock on the Thai peoples...

"In a rare move, top military leaders will meet tomorrow to discuss a possible solution for the country at a time of political deadlock and likely confrontation between pro- and anti-government groups this Saturday"
"Top brass to step in"....Coup-monger wishful thinking.
A "rare move"?.....Coup-mongers and their supportive media trying to foment a sense of crisis where there is none. I'm sure these guys meet all the time, and to make another one appear to be something momentous obviously plays to the agenda of those needing urgency. Otherwise they just sit in Lumpini and no-one cares.
Military guys are going to solve a political deadlock?....Really?....Does knowing something about shooting a gun give one political insight?...And what is this about 'deadlock'?.....Coup-mongers not achieving their coup so far does not a deadlock make...the electoral majority is still in place and watching what the minority will try to do, in forcing their way into governance via non-electoral means. They are watching the attempts to nullify their voting choices by those trying to make a coup not appear to be one, by using Independent organizations and judicial elements. To call it a deadlock is an 'illusion of grandeur' by the minority electorate. The next election and having a governing majority in parliament, will quickly dispel any lingering notions of a political deadlock.
And no, the 'wished for' confrontation between pro-democracy and anti-democrats pretending to be 'anti-Govt.' wont happen. Yes, there will be a humongous UDD/Red Shirt rally this Saturday, as a warning shot across the bow of those contemplating a coup, but not in a location where the hoped for confrontation can occur. So the "Brass" and dissapointed Lumpini Park denizens can relax.
BTW, IMHO the only reform discussions occuring in Lumpini Park should focus on one issue, and one alone....How can we adapt ourselves to win an election in the foreseeable future....That is really the only thing the ought to think about. Only when they win an election, can they hope to advance their objectives.
Fryslan.... everyone in this country wants a fair election to happen.... but unluckily, without reforms this will Never happen in Thailand.. as for your "humoungous" Red Shirt rally this weekend, my sister in law has just told me this week her husband wil be paid 3000bahts to drive his truck full of red shirts to the said rally.. (from Surin) The passangers in his truck will get 1000bahts each on the first day and a further 500bahts per day while in Bangkok. That is The Real Red Shirt Democracy you always talk about... Where they live, no democrats or any party not affiliated with Thaksin can run for election... violence rules the day.. Seems you know nothing of real life values and just spout the same old Red Shirt drivel about .. have another election.... and watch thousands of peoples being herded into the poll booths being told who to vote for , and paid of course... This country needs reform so badly and sadly it will never happen....TiT...
