  1. if you really want to know then Google "St Regis Bangkok John Shepherd" and prepare to go down the rabbit hole.
  2. what Aussie credit card gives cashbacks and fee-free ATM withdrawals?
  3. Adapting to life in Thailand ... you're doing it wrong.
  4. you omitted the part about the tourists bring on a "central reservation", according to an eyewitness.
  5. In the middle of Pattaya? Wow, can I come visit and help out with I'm there next?
  6. Yay Region 2 police! Just don't target my favourite speakeasy ????
  7. thanks ????. btw it's not my case so I'll tag @ultramarinein case he doesn't see your response.
  8. you're a bit late to the party fella, OP's already got it sorted with no fine. he's also going to sign up to the web-based tm30 portal. you should know better than to post a reply without reading ALL the replies, there's really no excuse.
  9. I need to go out to drink coffee. Even better if the café has a nice view. Do you know of any places in Bangkok that have a range of coffee from different countries? I was spoiled when I was younger, the local shopping mall had a place called Coffee Emporium that stocked coffee from all around the world. They'd happily make you a shot of whatever you chose for an extra 50 cents. The place was started by Macedonians then taken over by Lebanese so they had decent coffee, not the swill that Aussies like ????
  10. How would the consulate know where you are located? Are they doing stuff like logging IP addresses or browser fingerprinting?
  11. Nobody on this forum has uploaded a copy of a Tourist e-Visa so I don't know how it compares to the good old one page sticker which never showed such detail. Does it show any of this info? I doubt it, and the IO at Swampy won't have access to it on his system anyway as it is held with the consulate in Canada. So you should have no problem using your visa before it's use-by date. Come on over and have a great trip.
  12. that's what poor people say.
  13. Other recommendations for Pattaya-based agents in this thread, but you'll have to wade through a lot of "agents are bad mmkay?" comments to find the info ???? https://aseannow.com/topic/1264956-pattaya-visa-agent-recommendation/
  14. Other agents that get mentioned quite often on here are: Key Visa - Pattaya Thai Visa Centre - Bangkok
  15. why pay an agent when... nah just kidding. yes it should be cheaper for an agent to provide the "non-workaround" extension service. Maneerat on Soi Post in Pattaya have a very good reputation and quite reasonable prices for the "full Monty" (12.5k-14k) but I don't know what their discount is for a non-workaround extension. https://m.facebook.com/maneerat.fon.0818630320/
  16. I use a password manager called BitWarden but that's not a perfect solution either.
  17. That's Rooster aka BostonRob2, right?
  18. i understood it and im a mental midget. but im man enough to admit that I have no solution for the op because I ditched facebook a few year's ago and have no intension of jumping thru the hoop's he has discribed.
  19. Where do I pay? I'm willing to fork out 1,000 baht* for all matches. UHD/HDR and ad-free of course. * incl. VAT
  20. Ban Laem immigration officers are the shady ones. "Too many visas" isn't sufficient reason for them to deny him re-entry to Thailand and he hasn't used up his two land entries per calender year. And how shady is refusing to let him exit the country without a valid reason? An actual legal reason not just something they pulled out of their jacksy.
  21. I can relate to this! Running Ookla speed tests on my True 500/500 fibre connection makes me so happy ????. It's virtually impossible to get that kind of speed back in Australia because of the way the government stuffed up the national broadband network rollout.
  22. Perhaps the OP is intending to go clubbing this weekend. If he's unlucky he might be in a club that gets raided by the Captain Killjoy who is leading a crackdown at the moment. "As for overstaying foreigners, Nantawut warned that police would be inspecting documents and passports of tourists to ensure they were not overstaying and encouraged all tourists to at the bare minimum have a legible copy of their recent documentation including their passport stamps with them at all times." “From now on, at 1:00 A.M. every single day dozens of police and relevant officers are patrolling to enforce these seven rules and encourage venues to close on time every day. I am personally patrolling myself every Friday and Saturday to ensure the legal closing times are obeyed.” Nantawut said. https://thepattayanews.com/2022/11/19/region-2-police-promise-stricter-enforcement-of-seven-rules-for-entertainment-venues-say-no-to-later-closing-for-world-cup/
  23. Oh well if you want hand-holding and you're in the Pattaya area then it's pointless to use this TVE mob if they're saying they'll use Chaeng Wattana (Bangkok). You need to apply for the non-O in the province that you live in or they might not process your one-year extension. Use a well-respected Pattaya agent instead, or just do it yourself.
